Presumably the fans using these figures as a stick to beat Poyet with in terms of his playing budget v non promotion will do the same with Oscar Garcia, who, as we know, enjoyed a slight increase on playing budget compared to last season.
The reality of the situation is that, in almost 90 per...
Indeed they are. They are paying 30EUROs (or thereabouts) towards the cost of every away ticket for the Arsenal game at The Emirates because it is so much more than the fans are used to.
Of course it is far too high.
Was just pointing out there is no real evidence to suggest that "Liverpool wouldn't be charging much lower if it was at their place".
Agree completely about the £30 maximum though. Would be great if all clubs agreed to this. I know people go on about it a lot...
The price is appallingly high.
Bayern Munich recently announced they were subsidising every away ticket for the Champions League game at The Emirates by something like 30EUROs to make the game more affordable to Bayern's travelling fans.
Good pricing. Add in travel and its about what I'd pay on average as a season ticket holder per match - give or take a few quid either way. More than happy with that.
As much as this does seem a lot, the club does try and make football affordable. The season ticket direct debit scheme is brilliant. The club don't get enough credit for that.
Also the cup game was superbly priced and kids ticket pricing is very good value.
There are also areas of the ground...
Don't get me wrong. I was a massive Murray fan. Gutted when he left.
Just saying I don't think CMS was anywhere near as wasteful as some make out. Pre-injury he was on for or 20 goals which would have been a very welcome return.
If we are in this division next season I wouldn't mind having him as match day back up and perhaps letting go of Brezovan and Ankergren - or at least one of them. Saves on wages with the option of a loan signing should Kuszczak be ruled out for any long period with injury.
That said, if we...
I did a piece a while back now - before CMS was injured - and the stats showed he scored with about 22 per cent of shots. Pretty similar, give or take a couple of per cent each way as Chris Wood, Charlie Austin and Jordan Rhodes at the same stage of the season.
Admittedly, Glenn Murray was away...
Two separate issues I think. I'm commenting purely on the price, rather than the legitimacy or otherwise of fans complaining when there are cheaper areas available.
Pretty sure CMS was on target to hit 20 goals last season before his injury. I think people are remembering him as being more wasteful than he actually was.
Not many strikers at this level who score every chance they get.
Not seen him play but I think he has been on some specialist coaching clinics for the country's top rated young goalkeepers or something like that, so clearly well thought of.
It is far far too expensive.
Apologies if he previous post was worded wrongly.
I was making the point I don't understand how any fan could argue that that amount was reasonable.
