Leeds to win for me. I don't think they ever deserved to be in League 1 really and I actually think it spoilt the division. A lot of people said they wouldn't overcome a 15 point defecit and credit where credits due they did it.
At the end of the day tho all Leeds relegation did was get in...
It's cheap enough in Cyprus as long as you stay away from the tourist areas.
Trouble is when you move out here you spend the first 6 months on a mission to drink yourself to death on cheap spirits.
we still had to qualify through the semi's this year and will have to again next year. Interestingly in the semi's they did split the voting groups up.....maybe that's what will happen in the final next year.
Not that it'll make any difference, we didn't exactly make the final with flying colours
lol
for me it's an entertaining evening and thats all lol. It would be nice if it was fair but even then I doubt I would vote. I might download a song or 2 tho ;)
That's a good point, as Brits we generally have a sense of fair play, personally I thought there were a couple of songs better than our entry, and no, as an expat I didn't vote
I think the Polish question was answered in an earlier thread, they have aligned themselves with the UK. Most Brits see the Eurovision as a joke and are, therefore less likely to vote, particularly given the crap we have produced in recent years.
Add that to the fact that other european...
but surely that just backs up my argument.
In the UK how many Brits actually vote and how many ethnic minorities?
If only 5% of Brits voted and 90% of ethnic minorities voted, the vote would still go the way of the ethnic minorities.
That's what happened here and in Greece last year. Too few...
It's just not the same without Terry. I watched it on Cypriot tv last year and was bored out of my brain. Terry's wit makes it, which is probably why the UK hasn't taken it as seriously as most of europe in recent years.
Long Live Tel!
I agree with the Croatia thing, I found it quite daunting when they saw I came from Cyprus too. That said I did meet a lot of people disgruntled with the west aswell. I suppose the other way to look at it is the number of foreigners in each region. We have a strong Eastern Block presence here...
as an expat living in Cyprus I take a lot of interest in the eastern europe and the middle east (htey're my neighbours) and I watch a lot of foreign and UK tv online.
Believe me there are still a lot of eeastern european individuals who support Russia. This year Cyprus became the first...
Hehehe,
I agree the UK entries in the past have been crap. Unfortunately I'm a bit of a sad eurovision fan but I won't bother with it again if they don't change something.
It's time to pull out
Living outside the UK and watching the BBC's transmission of the Eurovision, I was fortunate enough to here Terry Wogan's comments.
Let's face it we just can't win! There was only 1 western european song in the top 10, Norway which, in my opinion was a good song but...
Sling Box v LiveUK Tv and a FREE alternative
Hi Guys,
This is my first post so please be gentle with me :D
I thought I'd start with giving you an explanation of what sling box actually is:
It's really a kind of internet relay of what is on your set top box at home. You can control your box...
