[Football] New Kits Thread - 24-25 Season

I think I wore that as pajamas in the 70s

[Albion] Eric Roy - The perfect fit?

The problem is that he is a Champions League manager now. So I suspect he would want to run with that.

    [TV] Britain's Got Talent final

Simon Cowell fell in love with himself at a young age and has been faithful ever since.

    [TV] Britain's Got Talent final

After having written this I am told that the wildcard has gone to... a performing dog

    [TV] Britain's Got Talent final

Not a show that remotely interests me. Not since it was won by a performing dog. That said, I did see a video of the choir who perform for kids with brain tumours. It appears that the kid who leads it lives nearby and is a pupil at my old school. So I hope they get the wildcard.

[Albion] If Graham Potter is re-appointed...

Alternatively, we were never in for him in the first place. It's The Sun. So completely disregard. Like the time they said we were looking at Steve Cooper and three other candidates. And went for our first choice. Who was none of them.

    [Albion] Steve Cooper.

This is the point. 500 odd posts in on something that was nothing more than idle media speculation. Same with Potter. If he was coming it would all be done by now, or at least very evident.

    [Politics] General Election 2024 - 4th July

There's a few factors at play here. In 1997 the polls held and it's clear that we are at the end of the term of one of the most unpopular governments since forever. Much like 1997, the public are fed up with things beyond policy. I don't think it can be understated how the handing out of gongs...

[Football] Champions League Final: Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid (Saturday, 20:00)

You just know that Real Madrid are going to win this. I've never known a team so capable of bungling their way to trophies

[Politics] Votes for 16 year olds

There's a lot of talk of competency, but given that 25% of folks are still voting Tory in the election one assumes that horse bolted long ago. Joking aside, you only have to look at BREXIT referendum and how, on both sides, people were blindly vomiting newspaper headlines to realise that even...

Good job too. It's incredible that France, Sweden and England have all ended up in the same qualifying group.

    [Politics] General Election 2024 - 4th July

I think Labour are on course for a huge majority. I do think it's important for other voices in parliament too and I think having a Green MP is good for Brighton. I live in Kemptown and was planning on spoiling my ballot paper. But, as I did once before, if there is a Labour voter in Pavilion...

Very nauseous seeing grown blokes mocking how someone looks without being willing to put their mugs up for everyone to judge.

[Politics] Why is Nigel Farage on Question Time tonight ?

I remember an old boss of mine who wanted to send her kid private. She could have sent her to St Luke's, the most sought after primary school in country, but wouldn't have it. I never understood it. Paying thousands of pounds a year for what ? The kid would still have ended up at possibly the...

[News] ICF's Bill Gardiner allegedly gave Russell Bishop a good hiding in the nick.

I obviously have no sympathy for that monster, but it doesn't give this bloke any more credibility for trying to gain some kind of high ground through moral thuggery. He attacked him because he loves violence and needed little excuse on this occasion. Whilst folk care little that Bishop was...
