Just because there are those of us who don't want to look at images of murdered children and adults on an Albion football message board doesn't mean that we're in any way ignorant of...
So you're not convinced you've been proven wrong yet, "going to continue to expect the worst" and "the odds are still stacked against us".
Have you looked at the table recently? Have you looked at Villa's run-in of games? Have you seen how well we've been playing?
I'll try and put this...
1-0 Liverpool.
As it stands mid-match, they're 1 point behind United in 4th with a much better GD, but having played 2 games more.
United to end up in 5th would suit me.
Correct..as long as Brentford don't beat Liverpool today and fail to win the other 3.
If they did, they could reach 62 points. But that's extremely unlikely with 2 of their 3 games against Spurs and Man City.
Should that draw arrive in Villa v Spurs next week, it'll be 61 points max for Villa and 64 points max for Spurs.
Assuming Liverpool don't lose to Brentford today, 2 wins for us would then be enough for top 7 on GD.
And yes, 3 wins for us would bring top 6 on GD.
I remember us chatting about this last week! :)
I'm sure you're right on the xG, but of Villa's 16 shots, only 3 were on target.
Wolves only had 6 shots, but 2 were on target. And thankfully just one was needed as it turned out.
The Wolves response from last week came to pass. Perfect timing for us that Villa were on the other end of it.
Spurs next week for Villa, then Liverpool away who will still probably be chasing Champions League.
We might have even qualified for Europe before we face them on the final day of...
With 52 minutes of their game played, Villa currently looking like the side that'll miss out.
With games left against Spurs, Liverpool and us, they almost certainly won't be taking 9 points there.
A loss today and 2 wins from those 3 would only get them to 60 points. We'd need just 5 points...
