I retired at 59 mate and that was three years ago. Lessons I've learnt:
You spend less than you think you will (other than trips / holidays, which you can turn on or off as finances dictate)
It's NEVER to early to retire
We always think we need to work but, equally, we sometimes enjoy it and...
I’ll say it, I strongly dislike Christmas. Most people going full throttle towards it have little or no Christian beliefs, families are plunging themselves into debt to keep up with little Jimmy’s classmates and it’s just a commercialised debt fest.
Me, atheist, but enjoy a few beers with mates...
Ah, good point, bloody good for those of us that are mate. In 1 hour and 45 minutes I’m heading to Gatwick and around 11 a.m. I’ll be in Marrakech. Sorry, I’m not helping am I 😉
Harris interested in Palace again, looking to buy out Textor, in a deal that’d value CPFC (2010) Ltd at £400m. I’m assuming that the £120m, ring fenced, in on the balance sheet!
Thank you, and noted 👍 Really excited it’s so much more than two weeks in Majorca, pushing us outside our comfort zone but creating some great memories and, I hope, a stepping stone for more adventures!
Hi Chaps,
Off to India in a couple of weeks, doing the Golden Triangle, flying to Mumbai and then going on a cruise down through Cochin, Goa and Southern Asia.
For those that have been to India a quick question, how do I get a couple of hundred quid of small denomination Rupees?
Thanks,
Tim
This is about parental control, ours had them from 11 when at Senior School, although we "put them on charge" downstairs at bedtime until they were about 13
