I cancelled in Feb after over 10 years with them after the best price they could offer was a 15% increase. Didnt get a single offer to stay so I'd agree with this.
We decided to change to watching things on demand now (excluding BBC iPlayer) which has allowed us to cancel TV licence too saving...
So actually this was fairly painless. According to the window staff it was only 250 who were emailed for a spot check.
Annoyingly though I was then checked again as I went in so they need to look at that for next time otherwise what's the point?
Yes i've been picked.
Its going to be an absolute nightmare isn't it? Nice of them to open at 5 but most people work till at least then.
And to only open two windows? if they're checking half the tickets thats what, 6000 per window?
The worst bit is they have been doing spot checks...
Everyone has to make a personal choice about their appetite towards the virus. If you are vulnerable or worried about it arguably you shouldn't be there at all, mask or not.

Plenty of better options out there. The quality of mobile broadband now is very good, and you don't have to deal with line-rental / line issues.
Sky Broadband is the worst. Had it for 5 years - constantly dropping out and poor speeds (5-10 mbps), before moving to Three mobile broadband, now getting flawless BB at c100mbps.
I've emailed the club now to see if this is necessary. Would never have worried about it before but they do seem to be quite particular about this stuff now,
They don't have an account so I bought the tickets in my name - added their details for the track and trace though.
I'm showing as the 'Owner' on both. Now wondering if this is going to be an issue.
Maybe naively with all these new rules, I have bought a couple of tickets for friends on my account and simply forwarded the email tickets to them.
Was this not allowed and are they going to have problems getting in without me?
I cant believe they were allowed to use terminology like 'Shares' and 'Dividends' which meant people likely associated it to legitimate markets and assets rather than the fictional gambling game it really was.
Had all the hallmarks of a scandal from day one.
Luckily not had to think about the cost of this stuff before but the figures quoted above do seem costly and as some say a waste of money.
Genuine question - what happens if you just refuse to pay anything?
