If a musical instrument is prohibited, it must've been a pretty unvigilant (to put it mildly) person at the entrance not to notice a sodding great drum AND sticks (could have yer eye out!). A flute or a triangle, that's understandable, but a drum?!
Did they EVER work? Foolhardy to be open air escalators in the British climate - might work in Vegas, for example, but not Blighty! I remember walking up them as snow was starting to fall, to see the first screening of Star Wars (Episode 4: A New Hope subsequently) which came out in December...
Never had the good fortune to go (was three at the time!) but would have loved to. Never seen any pictures of it, but did find this advert (I'm a big Floyd fan, BTW)
Well I thought it was excellent - a few rough edges that they noted needed tidying up (removal of watermarks etc) but a cracking look at the recent history of the club.
Can't remember. It's a long time ago. However, they are still in use... I get a cheque every two months (pay for self-employed work) and on my birthday/Christmas a cheque from my dad as a present.
