    [Music] The Most Complete Album

I'll give you that. Have you listened to Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever yet? Right up your street - like The Go-Betweens mixed with The Blue Aeroplanes. I'd start with French Press.

What's the most expensive music related item you have purchased?

You can't stop the tide. Most valuable record currently owned would be an interesting one, although could be an invitation to burglars with forensic cyber skills.

What's the most expensive music related item you have purchased?

I thought this was limited to music purchased and merchandise? Mine was probably limited edition 12 x mini CDs edition of Ladies and Gentleman We Are Now Floating etc with foil wrap cover and medicine box. Think it was £79.99. Accidentally trod on it about 2 years after purchasing it.

    [Music] The Live Music thread

I like Penelope Isles - saw them last year and bought some kind of homemade CD by them. Good stuff. Taking my wife and children to see their favourite band next week: The National.

    Your favourite ever comedian

Tim Vine, Harry Hill and, when he's on form, Stewart Lee.

    Grant Hart dead?

RIP Grant. When I first heard Husker Du, I marveled at their expansive guitar sound and heard a third way between heavy metal and indie that I hadn't heard before. So influential.

    [Music] Albums Thread - 2017

Apart from the singles, I'm particularly liking track 4. The Alvvays album is also very good - maybe one for the C86 thread?

Iceland (the country, not the shop) - worth the cost?

I went 16 years ago. Food was ridiculously expensive and not brilliant and there was not that much to do (unless you're into your geology and walking on bleak/barren terrain) except the big set pieces (Blue Lagoon, Gullfoss, Geysir, Thingvellir, pardon the spelling). However, those places were...

    [Music] Albums Thread - 2017

Too many albums to catch up with: Nadine Shah, Mogwai, LCD Soundsystem, Alvvays, The National, reissue of first Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever EP. I'm drowning in (multi-coloured) vinyl. Thank goodness I decided not to pursue an impulse buy of the Paramore album that's just come out on vinyl...

MotD2 last night - Chris Sutton

He was also on our side when Dale Stephens was sent off by Mike Dean. He was quite scathing in fact.

A moment to reflect on the music today

All the family laughed at the arch. When they took it off the pitch, we got a good close-up view - looked like a flat pack box you buy at the post office for sending a medium-sized gift in. The Stonehenge in Spinal Tap is more impressive.

A few things to smile about today

Bit unfortunate that we gave the ball away within about 5 seconds of this happening. Today, I most loved the players celebrating the second goal a few yards in front of me. Interested to see whether I make it onto Match of the Day this evening.....
