[Albion] West Ham United vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Pretty much how I feel. A point would be good and I hope we are a bit less cautious for the first 60 or so minutes than we usually are.

[Albion] The scoreline at your first ever Brighton game

1973 and Osgood scored both in the FA Cup. I was there too. First game for me was April 1971 and a 0-2 loss to Halifax.

Dec/Jan TV Games [No Albion games selected for TV in December]

Apparently the Sky and BT coverage of the last round of December and the January fixtures will be announced no later than Friday October 27.

Agreed and neither team has gained anything over us this "weekend".

[Albion] Bruno’s actions cost us 2 points today

I saw the Gross penalty shout on tv and thought it was a penalty. I was surprised when the commentators said there was nothing to it and that Oliver had got the decision right. All in all, they should probably have had two penalties and us one.

    [Albion] Dale Stephens

I agree, thought he was ordinary today. He is the player I have been most disappointed with this season, but hopefully he will come good.

[Albion] Michael Oliver - Referee for Man City game [and Everton]

It is not given very often, but imho it should be. It is a foul anywhere else on the pitch. The incident today when the Everton player was pulled back was blatant (on tv! ) and right in front of the ref.

[Albion] Michael Oliver - Referee for Man City game [and Everton]

Totally agree with this. I think he got a few decisions wrong, but spread the love and did not favour either side.

He also failed to give Everton a stonewall penalty for shirt pulling in the area.

    [Albion] Glen Murray

I have already said Murray had a shocker today and, in my opinion, he did and should have been subbed earlier. However, most of our squad have had bad games and then done well. Murray has done well for us in the past and always runs his socks off. Let's not write him off or judge him on this...

    [Albion] Uwe

Yes, he seemed to slot right in and did well. What fantastic cover to have.

    [Albion] Glen Murray

I was watching on tv. He had a shocker - offside a lot of the time and very poor first touch. I was genuinely surprised he did not get taken off earlier.

I thought Hunnameier did a good job when he came on.

According to the commentary I had, we should have had at least two against us and possibly a third.

Ryan was superb, but why did Murray not come off sooner - I thought he had a shocker; offside too many times and a poor first touch. Anyway, a point and we are not in the bottom three.
