[Politics] Do You Give Your Postie a Christmas Tip?

I moved home in August. I used to tip my old postie £20 at Xmas, but won't tip my new one as he's a moany git. Conversely, I didn't used to tip the bin men at the old place as they were a miserable bunch, but the new lot are excellent and will get a tip.

They'd also need the staff to check the photo against the person standing in front of them on an individual basis, and fans would have to be really patient to stand in a queue waiting their turn. The logistics would be horrible. Retinal scans are far easier to implement and there'd be no room...

[Misc] If you accidently solve a murder that happened in a foreign country, what do you do?

Post about it on a well-used and large piece of social media knowing that you have disclosed your name on said media previously, thus allowing discovery by the Police and increasing the chance that they will request/subpoena the release of any information held - email address, IP addresses etc?

You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar. Yes, I have opinions about wine, as you know. However, your opinions are at least as valid as mine, if not more so. Van Volxem is superb (as you well know). I would rate JJ Prum slightly higher than your (oh so subtle) slight dissing. You did indeed...

 Really solid. Early K-side castling behind the fianchettoed KB. Tough to break down, but also tough for black to win from if white gets a solid pawn centre. The chess equivalent of the football ‘win at home, draw away’ philosophy... imo.

I agree that the speed with which they move is irritating, but I’m curious about your claim of ‘15 minutes + per move’ being more typical in tournament chess. The tournaments I play adhere to FIDE classic time controls: 40 moves in 90 minutes and the rest of the game in the next 30 minutes...
