As others have said, VIP rarely gets you a ‘special view’ at outdoor gigs or festivals. You could pay £800+ for VIP at Springsteen at Hyde Park tonight and still be in with the ‘plebs’. Actually, you’d be in Golden Circle but still with thousands of others, inc many non-VIP.

Pretty obvious why TV companies pick games involving the best-supported clubs at the beginning of the season - they want to (re)attract subscribers at scale. Don't think 'vaguely interesting to the neutral fan' (ie Brighton v Luton) really cuts it, especially in holiday season.
