It has happened to me more than once that I have put a pair on there and only one sold, even though there were plenty of single tickets available. I’m guessing the buyer wanted an empty seat next to them and there is nothing when you list them to say only sell as a pair.
I heard the thing about the advertising too. And adidas supplied very similar shirts to other clubs at the time, I don’t recall any teams with adidas kits then playing in stripes then but I’m sure someone somewhere will prove me wrong on that.

Ok, so we‘ll be playing at full strength against a reserve team then, potentially. And whoever it is, a win against a reserve team just isn’t the same as playing against one at full strength. Don’t shoot the messenger, just sayin’ loike.
Just playing devil’s advocate, the game is on the TV, it’s a 1.30 kick off, and it will be between 2 reserve teams. And it’s an extra cost on top of the season ticket.
These could be possible reasons why it might not sell out.
