I am saying that asking to not be in the squad if he wasn't going to be playing, was unlikely to be a problem, was not immediately dropping us in the shit, and if his head wasn't right, might well have been better to have McGill anyway.
Caicedo was out of order with begging to be sold to...
Wouldn't know, I watch footballers play football, I don't follow them on social media, give a shit where they get a hair cut, eat their lunch or anything else they do when not playing football.
There was no immediate problem with having McGill on the bench rather than Sanchez, as 99 times out of 100, at least, the keeper on the bench, stays on the bench, and McGill was probably in a better place mentally to step in if he was needed.
Understanding someone behaving badly is not the same as advocating someone behaving badly, I am starting to think I have a different understanding of English to some of you guys.
When was the last time we called upon the keeper on the bench to step in anyway?
Trying to remind people of the difference between asking to be left out and refusing to be involved.
I imagine there are situations that even a hard taskmaster like yourself would find it acceptable to ask to not be involved, might you consider it reasonable if he was just so gutted at realising...
Again I see the word asked, not refused, and it is an opinion of Naylor that he shot himself in the foot, he doesn't know if there was a realistic way back for Sanchez or not, and I don't mean that De Zerbi might not have had him back, I mean that Sanchez may have realised he just wasn't suited...
I am not surprised he doesn't want him either, and I am not surprised Sanchez doesn't want to be where he is being asked to do something he isn't comfortable doing. I just don't see the need to berate either one of them for not seeing eye to eye.
So if he asked for a cup of tea it would have been a demand? Asking is not the same as refusing, and we are guessing as to how he was feeling and why he asked. It also isn't downing tools.
I dunno, is your Boss Easy10? If so, you would be f***ed.
As far as we know, Sanchez wanted to be included in the days tasks, he didn't want to be made to sit and watch someone else doing his job though, he asked to not have to, and his request was granted.
Things seem to have deteriorated from...
He is a goalkeeper, injuries in midfield and defence are not helped by his inclusion on the bench, moral is not improved by him moping about the dressing room either.
And "asked not to be included" has become refused to sit on the bench, downed tools, etc. I think many are judging him harshly without enough real information to form such a strong opinion.
You have gone a bit batshit mate, I am not blaming the manager for preferring Steele, or anything. I am just not wanting to lynch Sanchez, and understand that it must be f***ing soul destroying to spend ten years at a club developing skills that the new manager does not value as highly as being...
Not quite true that is it, De Gea just refused a new contract that was a pay cut. I don't think it is true Sanchez refused to sit on the bench either, I believe he just could not pretend to be happy about it and it was deemed best not to have a grumpy geezer in the dressing room, but I don't...
There is playing out from the back, and then there is goading the strikers to press the keeper and the defence in numbers. Sanchez was comfortable with Potters playing out from the back, finding a player in space, less so playing one touch pinball in the penalty box.
