What an extraordinary half. Argentina have been Fantastic, France incredibly listless, two subs before half time, Mac Allister, Brighton's Mac Allister, one of the best players on the pitch.
I disagree.
This post has turned out longer than i intended so if TL;DR then:
Everything you criticise Southgate for was there but worse in the five preceding tournaments that @Thunder Bolt highlighted.
You're both ignoring the facts that:
2008 - we didn't even qualify. Southgate even gets...
I enjoyed that first half. With not as much riding on it it felt like a much more open game.
It must be so tough for the players to pick themselves up and give 100% after getting so close to the ultimate prize so fair play to both teams.
In terms of popularity though? I may be miles off but it feels like it's become more popular in the last 20+ years since the formation of the A league.
That would make sense. As a newish sport over there it seems weird that it'd be long standing domestic rivalry. That would surely have been attached to all/some/one of the other established sports.
This particular issue appears to be a protest about the Australian F.A being money grabbing...
I'm not sure I'd have wanted him but the more I think about it the more I'm coming round to the idea that Harry Redknapp might have been quite good for England. He seems like a more charismatic version of Southgate. Not the greatest tactically but a very good man manager that players seem to...
People who support the England team are often called arrogant and entitled. I don't think that's true. I think the entitled ones are the ones who constantly talk of England failing and not bringing home trophies.
How many times do we have to not win tournaments before people realise that...
He spoke incredibly well in his post match interview. Remarkable maturity form a teenager who's just been knocked out in the quarter finals of the world cup.
My thoughts too. It'd be amazing to have a Brighton player win the world cup but all the bollocks that would wash around Messi would do my head in. I keep getting told that it would be 'nice' for him to win it as he's won everything else and is the best player in the world.
Personally I think...
I wouldn't mind Morocco getting to the final at all. I've really enjoyed watching them in the games/halves that I've seen. It might even help to get them/North Africa a world cup, which I think would be an amazing one. I think they've applied for 2030. I've penciled in an England quarter...
Gutted. Absolutely gutted.
I didn't think the ref was great but ultimately it was three moments of quality/non quality that cost us. The strike for the first goal, the cross for the second and Kane channeling Waddle on the second penalty.
I'm sure there are plenty of smug pricks all over...
