    [Albion] FA Cup Draw 5th Round...BBC1 7pm [ v Derby 12:30 16/2, live on BT Sport]

I reckon we will play a strong team if we get a win and a draw in the next two league games.

    [Football] Injury Time Yesterday

A running / stopping clock works well in basketball and would stop time wasting my concern would be that ninety minutes could last three hours. I'm sure I read somewhere that in a standard game of ninety minutes the ball is only in play for sixty five minutes.

    [Misc] Toilets, yes toilets

I'm sure like many others on Saturday I changed stands and in my case moved from WSL to ESU, good view being slightly higher but really cold up in the gods. Half time decided to relieve myself of my pre match beers, the queue in WSL is normally bad enough snaking twenty odd yards through the...

[Cricket] 1st Test, England tour of West Indies at Bridgetown, Barbados

I think Root bottles it a bit and he should bat three. Our problem with the batting is finding a replacement for Cook, Burns looks ok and worth a run in the side, however Jennings for a tall bloke does not move his feet and plays from the crease. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I was coached to...

[Cricket] 1st Test, England tour of West Indies at Bridgetown, Barbados

Totally agree about the toss, however it is not clear cut because our spinners have a poor economy rate for Test cricket. At times you need the slow bowlers to simply tie up one end and rotate the quicks at the other end, our spinners are not capable of this bowling a four ball every over.

[Cricket] 1st Test, England tour of West Indies at Bridgetown, Barbados

Good end to the day, however why have England selected two spinners, plus occasional spinner Root. Hard, fast, bouncy surface surely would have suited Broad or Woakes. Rashid is not a Test Match bowler, maybe have been ok bowling on a deteriorated last day wicket but England won't be bowling...

[Albion] Emiliano Sala [signed by Cardiff, confirmed to have been on missing aircraft]

Awful news and thoughts are with family and friends. As an aside his does it work for Cardiff, are players insured, I presume Cardiff hold the players contract and he has a value to the club. Sorry if anyone thinks it's poor timing to ask such a question however it would be hard on Cardiff to...

[Misc] The Award-winning official "More Snow Tomorrow?" Thread [2024-25 Season]

Showed in Caterham a couple of times today about 4pm and 6pm, didn't settle. Forecast for snow at 4am, sadly my workplace is only a two minute walk from home so no excuses for non attendance.

    [Football] Tony's Brussels Club

Oh well, we had a fantastic time and really enjoyed it. Did get the train out to Ghent which is a lovely as Bruges.

    [Football] Tony's Brussels Club

I went but sadly it was the week the Belgium League was suspended due to match fixing. At least the beer and mussels were good. Brussels is a great city and Eurostar was easy.

[Albion] Manchester Piccadilly to Old Trafford

Booked on the 5.55 back, should be enough time to buy some provisions for the journey home. Might have to leave on the final whistle.

[NSC] To me it feels like NSC has rather lost it's way.

    Had a 147 (total clearance).

Wish the club would get on with it, fancy a change from WSL to ESU.

[Albion] Lewis Dunk - England’s second best centre half?

I think Lewis is as quick as most Centre Halves in the league, if he does have a lack of pace he certainly makes up for it with his positioning and reading of the game. He is rarely caught out of position, this season the only time he has looked vulnerable is when covering the full back when we...

[Football] VAR gives Grimsby a red card

I like VAR, in general it is fair but still down to human interpretation of the rules. With reference to the FA Cup I think it's wrong to only have VAR at selected games (I think it was only nine games)this has given an unfair advantage / disadvantage to a few clubs. The yellow card at Palace...

    [Albion] Saturday’s game is huge

I'm sure people said the same about Palace at Man City, it's a two horse race and occasionally outsiders do win.

On a positive so have the Albion improved.

    [Albion] Saturday’s game is huge

I'm sure the gap between Monday and Saturday is enough time for any player to be fit and fresh. I would just like us to start well and get in Liverpool's faces and let them know they are in a game. We tend to sit back too much against the top four and let them set the tempo. Win the first...
