[Albion] Brighton & Hove Albion vs AFC Bournemouth *** Official Match Thread ***

Take the points and move on. Poor second half but we got the win. Bournemouth will be gutted, I thought they played well, parked the bus, made it really difficult for us to play through them, had a few decent chances on the counter and won every header in their box until the 88th minute...

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

What a load of laughable bollocks. Forget the players like Webster and Moder who are current first team squad players, forget Mwepu who had to retire due to a heart issue, forget the many players that were part of earlier squads that stayed up in this division, forget all the young players who...

I haven't posted in this thread for a while. so here's an absolute belter.
  4. Garry Nelson's Left Foot

[Albion] Moises Caicedo - New contract signed until summer 2027 with 1 year extra option.

Caicedo needs to tell the agent to shut up now. Nothing he can say or do over the coming months will help facilitate a move in the summer. It was clear to anyone with some sense that Caicedo wasn't going anywhere in January and that summer was the time for it to happen. It'll still be the...

    [Albion] Team for Bournemouth

Sanchez Lamptey Webster Dunk Estupinan Caicedo Gross March Sarmiento Mitoma Welbeck Harsh on Veltman who has been excellent every game he's played but Lamptey's greater attacking threat outdoes Velman's defensive nouse for this one. I'd be fine with Gilmour partnering Caicedo and Gross...

    [Albion] Buzz's Bootroom

It would still be spelt and pronounced wrongly. Although everyone at the club seems to call him something that sounds like karu. I guess he's too polite to correct them. Or can't be bothered.

[Albion] Is the top 4 really out of reach?

It's possible but not very likely. More likely than getting relegated this season which in itself is a pretty impressive achievement. Realistically if we are to qualify for Europe it'll either be 5th -7th in the league or winning the f.a cup. I reckon 7th is our most likely finishing position...

    [Albion] New Song for Mitoma

This all day long. Simple and catchy. It should take off after one outing. Bet it doesn't though!

    [Albion] Yasin Ayari

It is all dependent on whether there is an indefinite article or not. No 'a' and you're describing his lack of ability. Stick an 'a' in front and you're calling him a wind up merchant. God, I hated teaching English.

[Albion] Moises Caicedo - New contract signed until summer 2027 with 1 year extra option.

They're painful to read. I guess it's testament to the success of the human race that we are in a position that people as stupendously stupid as those commenters are are able to live and thrive. No other species in the history of the earth would be able to get away with that many of its...

[Albion] FA Cup fifth round - who do you want?

Don't mind too much but would rather avoid man city and Wrexham. Ideally we'll get a nice 'easy' tie so we can get to the quarter finals without too much fuss.
  12. Garry Nelson's Left Foot

    [Albion] Evan Ferguson

Yeah, I don't really understand the rules anymore. He's gone in from behind, studs up on his achilles, nowhere near the ball, no chance of winning or getting a touch on the ball. It's reckless and clearly dangerous. Yet it's not a red apparently.
  13. Garry Nelson's Left Foot

[Albion] Mercurial, majestic, magnificent Mitoma [20/10/23: New deal signed]

I've found something he's not very good at: jumping on his team mates when he scores. He flattened Caicedo last week(coincidence that its only after that that Caicedo's tried to leave town?) and today he tried to jump on someone and missed. Once he learns how to do that properly the big...

No Caicedo. Not even on the bench. Is he injured?

The ONE thing Newcastle definitely need to worry about is affordability.

[Albion] Mercurial, majestic, magnificent Mitoma [20/10/23: New deal signed]

Lads/Lasses HUGE news. I saw my first local in a Brighton shirt. I was at a kids tournament and one of the younger brothers of one of the opposition team players was proudly wearing this season's shirt. Mitoma proudly displayed on the back. I didn't get to find out where they got the shirt...

[Albion] Moises Caicedo - New contract signed until summer 2027 with 1 year extra option.

He isn't going to lose value between now and the summer. If he had 18 months on his contract then yes that would be a risk but he has 2.5 years. He'll be worth the same in the summer as he is now even if he doesn't kick a ball again for us.
  19. Garry Nelson's Left Foot

[Albion] Moises Caicedo - New contract signed until summer 2027 with 1 year extra option.

I don't think it is a fine line. To me it's very simple - we don't sell. If we do we give a green light to every player/agent/'buying' club to treat us with complete disregard and disrespect. It destroys any opportunity of building something at the Albion as it'll say to every single player...

[Albion] Moises Caicedo - New contract signed until summer 2027 with 1 year extra option.

Well, that's some shitty news. I still don't think we'll sell him though, it would send a terrible message to sell a player right at the end of the window who's played less than a season for under his value just because he's handed in a transfer request. It tells the whole squad that they can...
