From what I could see, there was no fault with the reporter/presenter - Shapps called the reporter, who quite correctly and fairly immediately said that he was on-air, so there was no subterfuge or attempted trickery.
Well, that was quite an entertaining evening. First half felt a little stilted (it was more of a straight interview with BZ and GM) but the second half it felt a lot more lively as it consisted of random questions from the audience. Good fun.

Maybe also unliveried as a security thing? There's LOADS of coaches driving around all the time, for all sorts of reasons. A football club's coach if obvious could be a target for the nutters and knuckle draggers.*
