I'm not sure how people can view a draw as a fair result. The Albion were in control of the game for large periods and at one stage (when we were 2-1 up) it was like the Alamo as we streamed forward and wasted chance after chance. We also did the same in the first half when 1-0 up. Leeds don't...
Add that to the recent list of points thrown away (Palace,Fulham,Leeds etc).
Boy we would be a good team if we were a bit more clinical and had a reliable first team goalie with a bit of height ! (both leeds goals would have been saved by a taller keeper).
Fantastic - I hope we can now just have the matches played shown for a longer time and no punditry in between. Sack the lot of them and save the licence payers money
Politics aside. Hasn't Lineker already got form for breaking BBC guidelines on making political statements ?
A yellow card followed by a red card seems about right - if he doesn't like the guidelines he doesn't have to work for them.
Somewhat disagree. We are very limited in how many tickets we can offer opposition fans at the moment for League games (about 2,600). With a larger stadium (35-40k) we could easily sell out most matches and offer away fans more tickets (Man City, Man Utd , Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle...
Don't ! -- it still hurts.
Got to say that the Grimsby result this week coming is the biggest for me. Lovely to do well against Leeds and Palace but not sure European football (other than Champs League) appeals - however getting to Wembley and the potential of winning a major trophy does.
I've always maintained (apparently wrongly) that our 3-0 win at Selhurst in 1981 relegated Palace from the old first division. Its a nice memory , even if false. It certainly was the start of our 4 match end of season winning run that saw us stay up by a couple of points !
I think you are right but perhaps there is a chance.
However despite their no win this year run they have picked up some useful draws against the bigger teams - Liverpool, Man Utd, Newcastle, Brentford and Brighton :ROFLMAO:
Hoping Man City put them in their place Saturday if they can avoid...
Steele was excellent on Saturday but I think Matty Ryan has done for me with "smaller" goalkeepers, they make me nervous. I don't imagine Jason will be coming out to the centre spot and plucking corners from the air (but Sanchez gave up doing that as well).
I would stick with Steele unless he...
