    Very O/T Brentford badge change.

I like it. Very simple, very effective, good use of primary colours. In short, it's the Brentford version of the Brighton badge - image of their nickname in the middle, club name in the border of the roundel outside. The only difference is they have the year of formation in there.

[Misc] John Lewis Christmas ad 2016

I'm indifferent about the ad, but I will say the best version of 'One Day I'll Fly Away' is the original version by Randy Crawford. Broad daylight comes second. Part of the tune is an (uncredited) interpolation of Tchaikovsky's 'Waltz of the Flowers'. So there. tH2rgPqi8Ag

    Yes, of course.

    Tram derailed in Croydon

Yours is a lynch mob mentality. You have no say in his punishment, should there be any, so why comment?

    Tram derailed in Croydon

Yup. The deceased haven't even been laid to rest, and you're baying for a lynch mob out to look for scapegoats. We could, you know, wait to find out what's happened. I know you said 'If...', but you could have said nothing. Your thoughts might be with revenge or retribution; ours are with the...

    RIP Anthony Knockaert's Dad

Additionally, coming out of a funeral can be mean a huge lifting of burden, grief and stress. That, and Knocky was pleased to see his friends and work colleagues, leads to a not inappropriate photo.

    US election (merged threads)

Only Jill Stein as a presedential candidate is a left-winger. So no, it's not. The pollsters are still predicting a win for Clinton in the popular vote, but seeing as that isn't how the winner is decided, it's not particularly relevant.

    Kayal

Let's see what we have here... • Steve Bruce was interested in Beram Kayal while the former was at Hull City. • Steve Bruce is now manager of Aston Villa, so it therefore transpires Villa will 'swoop' for Beram Kayal. Wow, if only we all had the intellectual foresight of Mike McGrath, who...

I'm sure the BBC would sell 82,000x more DVDs of snakes chasing down an running iguana steak than Paul Hollywood's preening.

"Shelvey is the best player EVER to play in the Championship"

Bruno 'not quite at his best' is still ahead of anyone else. Besides, I do feel he is playing as well as he did last season. The odd dropped-ricket from this season was there last season. We comment on them because they are so relatively rare.

Not really surprising. Not without re-engineering the entire stadium.
