[Albion] AFC Bournemouth vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Good to mix it up but too many long balls in that half.

I was thinking the same. A rarity indeed.

[Football] Ivan Toney isn't that small...

Crafty move by Brentford. Lulled us in to dead ball apathy when really they were either taller or built for rugby.

[Albion] Player ratings vs Brentford (h)

7/8 in attack, 4/5 in defence. You can, maybe, carry a key defender error but Dunk stationary, Veltmans poor throw-in, Colwill/Estupinan lack of awareness but excellent attacking display saved the day.

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

Priority 1 chose 128. Seemed to shift very slowly, thought I’d drawn the short straw, but the many gaps bulldozed away this morning

    [Misc] Retirement

This was on ‘you and yours‘ R4 last Tuesday. Blimey was my immediate thought. Presume figures are nett rather than gross. £34k for moderate living standard for a couple. https://www.retirementlivingstandards.org.uk/

£2.42 for a Otter Head pint in the The Rodboro Buildings, G’ford on Monday on way home from work.

    [Albion] FA Cup Semi-Final v Man Utd - 4:30pm, Sunday 23rd April

128 section for me. Same as for Man City in 2019 but higher up this time. It’s a similar angle to my North West Stand ST. Creature of habit.

And, of course, the already proven procedure of only allowing United to score after the final whistle will be fully adopted.

    [Albion] Palace Fans Biggest Fear

They put everything they had in to that game (despite what some of their fans said) on Wednesday night and still lost both the match and a manager. Pivotal game from which they’ll struggle to recover.

[News] The National Embarrassment That Is . . . HM Passport Office.

Auto gates are easy to use. Just not if you have an epassport that doesn’t have permissions. Border control informed me that this is not unusual for certain circumstances such as names on wanted lists, common names.

[News] The National Embarrassment That Is . . . HM Passport Office.

PCS union have accrued very sizeable strike funds. All members‘ subs went up earlier this year. Targeted approach much more effective in Central Government than mass strike days.

[News] The National Embarrassment That Is . . . HM Passport Office.

My main gripe with new passport was not so much the speed of its receipt but more the speed it gets me back in to the country. Just doesn’t work at automated passport gates at Gatwick. I did ask and was told it was something to do with my surname. I knew Halfa Escobar would catch me out one...

    [Albion] Leeds was...

Of course it was 2 points dropped. Felt like a defeat walking back to station. A Leeds fan (Sth) I’ve been chatting to says we’re best team he’s seen at Elland road this season and is grateful for a point.

The people are mobilising against hate. Or at least I hope they are.

[Football] Gary Lineker to step back from presenting MOTD

If you hate the Tories and want them out, you love ‘Gary’. Unfortunately, it’s a pseudo civil war. And that comes from a yellow.
