Thunderbirds is, comfortably, the Champion of this list. A brilliant TV show from start to finish with only a couple of missed steps (Ricochet episode...). Obviously, the female characters couldn't be written today as they are in the show - it's a very clear example of the shift in attitudes.
Murray has a history of scoring goals at this level, not massive amounts but enough to keep every team he's played for in this league. Hemed's not close to being as good as Murray, which is largely why we got promoted with Glenn in the side, rather than Tomer.
IF we got anything like FIVE million for Baldock, we absolutely robbed them blind. Totally blind. I think flogging Hemed for a profit would be great business, but if we can rip someone off then by all means - why not. Reading need a replacement for the rubbish striker they bought from us last...
What even is that response? Murray left when his contract expired, he wasn't robbed of his squad number to be handed to someone else and Mackail-Smith, nothing to do with mackerel, inherited the number 12 shirt which was vacant when he signed. LuaLua's loan had ended. Also, Mackail-Smith wore...
That is potentially the most ridiculous thing I have ever read on here. :lolol: Ridiculous to suggest that our best striker is the one who was robbed of his squad number last summer and then sent packing off to QPR, where he was, at best, par for the course. He is quite clearly not up to this...
Absolutely - it's truly lovely. It's like a mixture of Hove Park and Queens Park in our terms, a nice pond with plenty of dangerous looking Mallards, an aviary with plenty of birds flapping around and the standard fields for ball games and a few tennis courts dotted around. I like the park, and...
What sort of fee are people expecting us to get for Tomer? He didn't do a great deal for QPR last season and there's no real threat of him being involved for us. I think anything north of £1million is outstanding business for us.
Will you be fortunate enough to visit the Scunthorpe parkrun on saturday? Maybe have words with Elliott Stones and ask him to stop dominating the 1st place week in week out! Not seen a parkrun so dominated by one person (beaten just 4 times in 56 parkruns, 1st place 52 times, 2nd place 4 times)...
It doesn't surprise me to hear that it wasn't true to reality - Aaron Sorkin is a masterful writer. The whole scene resonates with me though, that's how it should be after a defeat if you're serious about whatever it is that you're doing. I can't imagine that Liverpool or Man City's dressing...
Leicester Victoria parkrun for me on saturday morning, 17th different course for me and 102nd overall parkrun. The conditions were horrific, driving rain from start to finish and the majority of the course is run under big trees which were dripping all over the show. Plenty of unexpectedly deep...
Moneyball is a spectacular film, however inconsistent with real life it may have been/is. I can't imagine the working dynamic between Hughton and the heirarchy here is comparable, but I would always be interested in being a fly on the wall of the dressing room and boardrooms.
I actually quoted...
I wasn't talking about the FA Cup, but I hadn't made that clear. His 6 assists were more than I was expecting, but still not good enough. If you want to talk about statistics, how about Solly March, "by far our best winger", managed just 1 goal and 5 assists in the Premier League last season...
I have run 101 parkruns, 16 different courses.
Hove Park (53), Preston Park (18), Hove Promenade (13), Bournemouth, Lancing, Peacehaven, Bevendean (2), Worthing, Darlington, Kettering, Newcastle, Seaford, Portsmouth, Crawley, Brockenhurst, Isle of Man (1).
Worthing I should have done more...
Wildly misleading is silly hyperbole. March was our strongest performing winger last season, no question. But I'm not convinced he's Premier League standard either. He's at his most efficient when he's crossing the ball, and we've got a striker who thrives on deliveries. What I don't understand...
Using that website, he's managed just 5 goals and 7 assists in 72 Premier League appearances. Last season, his 6 assists came from the 6 big chances he created and he managed just 1 through ball. Those stats are little more than a joke for a winger. Our team has been very defensive, it would be...
