Planning on going there next year. Many of my relatives died there. Certainly not something that is likely to be classed as enjoyable but will be fulfilling in many ways I think.
I don't think the club ever confirmed it. Whilst I think they handled the situation with Poyet et al. relatively well, I find it very odd they get rid of someone who has done a good job for 3 years by all accounts and don't even say anything about it. Very odd...
Think that's probably right. Probably got a call/had a meeting along the lines of - if you can extricate yourself from your contract, there is a job for you here but we don't want to pay compo.
If we did indeed have a 'lower half' playing budget, then it's hard to say he didn't overachieve overall. However, with the squad that we were able to put together on that playing budget (whatever it was), I think we should have been in play-offs at least, probably even in the automatic spots...

To be fair to the club, the attendance doubled on the day itself so not that much time to prepare for the huge last minute increase. Am sure it will be fine for the first game...
Very good article and you don't get the impression Oscar is hugely frustrated by lack of signings in it. His mate noelia deniz on twitter last night was claiming the club are being incredibly slow with getting transfers done and Oscar is extremely frustrated with it. Don't get that impression...
Agree with this - although that's not to say it would be the same under Oscar. If fit and if used correctly, he would be a fantastic addition to the squad.
