I haven't read through every comment on here, but are people actually putting forward actual suggestions and having petty arguments with each other?
Can't we all just get along and quote the Simpsons like grown adults...
If we hadn't beaten West Ham, then I think this game would have had much greater significance than it has. A draw or a loss last week and I think I'd be thinking of must win.
More must not lose now I think.
I just hope we don't turn up and get bullied, which I can kind of see happening.
It's a load of old nonsense, all they'll end up doing is buggering off the America or the Far East or Australia and play games there for the £££ and then still end up complaining that the players are tired.
And all this bollocks that it would help the national team is rubbish as well, probably...
Cry me a river.
I'll go to an away game after working all week to sit down and politely cheer when something exciting happens. But so long as I've got a decent view that's the main thing.
Pretty sure we did the same thing in that half season we had with Hughton before he turned things around, at Wigan, don't think they'd won since August till we turned up at the end of April and smashed that stat.
Also, when they mention about Hughton being the only black manager in the top flight, I always completely forget about it despite him being the manager of Brighton. I don't see him as 'our black manager' I see him as the manager of Brighton and Hove Albion.
I don't really see why this has to be a thing, it should be the best candidates to do the job, regardless of colour or age or whatever.
Whilst the same old dinosaur managers do continually get jobs (Allardyce, Pulis, Warnock etc) somehow, it would be good to see people who have worked their way...
Played well last night I thought.
More importantly, phenomenal head of hair, when he headed the ball once in the first half and the hair went everywhere.
Majestic.
