If you check on the internet through a search engine some websites can just give you a code to type in to the phone. Still costs £10 though

O2 website has the sim cards for just 99p at the moment, they are great if you text a lot. I do and I strugle to spend the £10 a month but since I was paying a minimum of £30 a month on my contract it's a bargain. Also leaves you free to buy the phone of your choice.
