I agree that we were certainly off the boil as the season was drawing to a close. I can only think of two dominant performances in the league in 2024 - beating Palace 4-1 at home and Sheffield Utd 5-0 away. I really don’t know why RDZ seemed to lose interest, I really thought that with the chips...
Let’s just say that they had a very good end to the season and we didn’t. Also, we were consistently in position 7 to 10 in the league until the final day. That is hardly being in disarray.
Who says we are his second or third choice. That’s just media bollocks trying desperately hard to regurgitate the same old crap. I doubt McKenna has stated anything publicly, and has probably been advised to stay schtum until everything is signed and sealed.
One week! That’s hardly left hanging too long. Besides, no one outside of the club knows what the intentions of the board are or the state of progress.
That’s not strictly true. We had a superb start to the season. We lost only one league game before being thumped 6-1 by Villa on 30th of September. Things started to go tits up when the injuries started piling up, especially when Solly March got crocked away at Man City.
Realistically I reckon McKenna has two options with furthering his management career. Stay with Ipswich and take them as far as he can, better the devil you know and all that. Or, come to Brighton who are widely considered to be the best club for developing players and coaches within the Premier...
I have similar views about Potter and RDZ. When Potter left I was disappointed (understatement!) because of the nature of his departure. Fair enough, he was offered on the face of it, better wages and prospects of greater success than Brighton could offer. It’s the same scenario in any form of...
Decisions! Decisions! Ideally I would have preferred both to stay down.
Living in Southampton as a Brighton fan for decades it has been rammed down my throat that Saints are the best team on the south coast - that ended just over a year ago! As for Leeds and their “most passionate fans in the...
The solution is so easy. Keep the away fans in the South Stand but turn the seats around 180 degrees, then they can do their very own ‘Poznań’ and look complete twats. :drink:
You would think that with the reputation that both of these basket case clubs have a coach with little top level experience wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole. As some pundits have suggested Brighton would be the perfect fit to hone your skills as a progressive coach without the brickbats...
When a certain, ahem, lady, in the red light district of Amsterdam tried to grab my seagull head. This was before our historic 2-0 win over Ajax. This lady dressed in a black basque and not much else then proceeded to have a tug of war with my poor seagull’s beak. I politely told her to stop...
F*** me! Enough already. People on here actually wanted Tim Sherwood to be our gaffer. Probably some would think Alf Ramsey would be a good fit. I’ll trust the club on this one, so Sam Allardyce it is then. :drink:
