Nonsense post title.
In space terms, it was pretty close, but it wouldn't have been the end of the world.
If it had hit a populated area, of course it would have caused a local disaster of magnitude, but only local.
The odds of it hitting an inhabited area would have been miniscule anyhow...
I remember reading once that Ian Botham, upon being giving out by Dickie Bird, walked.
However, when he passed Dickie, he said ' Dickie, that was never out'....
....to which Dickie replied ...' read the paper in the morning, son '.
The bloke asked a normal question, yet once again you do your bit.
Stat bore, do us all a favour, and go and win the tour de France.....and then go and do a 100 laps of honour.
I'm not trying to belittle anything here, but on a most positive note, at least Stat bore isn't starting another thread about bikes and killer cars.
So, for that alone, Stat bore, I'm in!
I've had the pleasure of looking after The Blockheads a couple of times in the last 5 years at gigs, with beer and food riders etc, and can say that to a man, they are absolutely brilliant guys.
At one gig, they asked my son to sell the merchandise, and really looked after him.
Top, top...
