Had just made some Piri Piri chicken kebabs, and was going to light the BBQ. Looking up was turning black. Discretion was better part of valour, so oven cooked them :( Rain came down - huge drops, more like water bombs, wiped out the Sky signal to the dish for 20mins. Lasted about 15...
My son was a massive F1 fan. He was granted a make-a-wish experience in 2018. He chose Silverstone Grand Prix, and after Qualifying (and the Sweden game) we got to spend some time with Lewis. Whatever you may choose to say about him as a racing driver, I can 100% say the man is a true gent...
Got Wembley around 14:30. Came out Wembley Park and the flares were already going, but all good natured. Not been there for 3 or so years. It has turned into bars, restaurants etc which will attract non ticket holders for big games. On train up, group of lads were only on their way up...
Feels like "just got back from the match", and not too far from the truth. Transport getting home was non-existent, and a catalogue of bad decisions meant a 4am home, having begged lift in the end:(.
Great day out though. Just frustrating watching us just let them have the ball. No pressure...
Met a load of pissed up lads on the train up yesterday. They were in fine voice and good humoured at 13:00, but one was already pretty legless. None had tickets - they were just going for the crack. Hate to think what they were like come 22:30.
Just been checking and yes OG is beating Schick to the golden boot.
Not had time to dig into how many other OG's have been scored in Euro's previous, but apparently more OG's than in previous Euro's all together.... wow.
Unfortunates are Lukas Hradecky, Mats Hummels, Wojciech Szczesny, Ruben...
Wow - what a game - can't take eyes off it......apart from odd NSC contribution (I type this during advert break whilst trying to avoid buy a Volkswagen I don't need, but am implored to buy).
Headed north out of Brighton over the Beacon at 17:30. Few spots on windscreen, and hucking fot when got in the car in Moulsecoomb before I left. By time I got to Coldean Lane and beacon road, fast wipe on windscreen. A mile in, quarter of road was brown muddy water hitting the car, and...
9 apparently - listening to TS on way home. Said that there hadn't been that many in the entire history of the tournament, so to have 9 so far was incredible. Finding it difficult to believe that there has been less than 9 OG's since the Euro's started?
