Slightly annoyed as a Falcons fan. Currently with a winning record which, frankly, i thought would be enough alone to top our truly poor division where every team lost more than they won last year.
And then the Buccs and Saints decide they are also going to start winning.
Weird post. He's saying opportunities were there for the win (see the shot against the bar). Also not quite sure where you seem to be picking up that he's showing no dignity? Very complementary interview where, frankly, he doesn't need to give one iota about how the opposition played. His team...
If that's a penalty then we may as well all give up now. Ball was kicked at him from a short distance, going out for a throw and hit his thigh first and bounced up to hit his arm which is where it should be (attached to his body)
I'm all for having some Brighton bias but come on :lolol...
Oh bloody hell.
He actually came out of this with some dignity. He handled himself really well immediately after the game and represented his club well. It was so refreshing.
Then he does this. urgh.
Maybe I'm missing something obvious but it seems to me that one simple solution would
1 - Add a bit of theatre to a tedious VAR process
2 - Add clarity of decision
Like cricket when the review is complete, and the Big Scrren does the reveal of "Out or Not Out" why doesn't the big screen reveal...
Clearly they were so desperate (perhaps rightly) to not slow down the game too much that as soon as an offside was clear they were trigger happy and just blurted "check complete". I can forgive that. I can see how it happened, however bonkers and frustrating it is and there are obvious flaws...
riiiiigghhhhht.
But we all know that's what happened already and the audio is obviously going to be reviewed by the PGMOL as part of their process to improve.
Liverpool asking for it is doing what?
"AH HA!!!! WE KNEW IT!!!! YOU MADE A MISTAKE!!! WE HAVE THE PROOF!!!!"
"Yeah, We know. It's...
"is a start" of what? fixing the times officials say "check complete" not realising the original decision was wrong?
The mistake which happened to Liverpool is the first one we have seen of that type. If this was the 2nd or 3rd time of the same type of error then Liverpool's intervention could...
Monday morning PGMOL meeting
Howard: "Morning all"
Class: "Goooodd moooorning Mr Webb"
H: "So. How did the weekend go? All good?"
C: (In unison) " yeah. Yeah good"
H:"Great. So onto this week's fixt..."
C: "Boss. I have something to raise. You know that little mistake we made in the spurs...
Positive though. My neighbour was telling me I should visit Dubai because they have M&S and "It's just like being in England but much hotter"
Sounds BRILLIANT
Thank GOD Liverpool released their statement saying it wasn't good enough.
I mean, we all thought it was a BRILLAINT piece of work from VAR before that. I hadn't heard a single pundit, journalist, manager or the PGMOL itself say it was a terrible error, but then thankfully Liverpool's lawyers...
That's the issue. Weirdly enough they actually confirmed the onside with the tech REALLY quickly for once. So much so that it felt odd but for once it seems that process was really smooth.
But then, as you say it's two major F ups. Just speak in PLAIN English. "Diaz is onside and it's a goal"...
