[Humour] Michael Flatley, left field shout for manager?

His style is all about restricting movement up top. Not for me, Clive.

[Politics] Liz Truss defending S.W. Norfolk seat July 4th.

So they all bought flat caps, whippets and racing pigeons?

    [Misc] No mow May

No mow May happened somewhat by accident, but it may also be extended a little while - not much time for gardening at the mo (HONK). The ants have moved in, but we've had a lot of flowers up and plenty of grass seed for the birds too. There is some form of tiny wild geranium...

[Politics] Votes for 16 year olds

What a load of absolute bollocks. Who is to say that a mind is only mature enough to process a voting decision when it has finally stopped developing? It's like telling a kid she can't go on a fairground ride because, even though she's over 1m tall, she's still growing. "Come back when you're...

    Small things that irritate you.....

I followed someone up the hill towards Lewes from the Beddingham roundabout recently. They joined from the A26 (Newhaven road), indicated and moved into the right hand lane straight away (which was odd as the left lane was clear). They sat in the right hand lane doing exactly 60, all the while...

[Football] Champions League Final: Borussia Dortmund vs Real Madrid (Saturday, 20:00)

Do you mean Bellingham (at RM), or Dortmund to win (because Sancho is there)? To answer the OP, I reckon it'll be a Madrid win

[Albion] If Mitoma is injured, who will be our Japanese signing before the tour?

Have you got last week's lottery numbers while you're at it? :)

[Politics] Votes for 16 year olds

A significant number on here will be dead by then* (this is meant to be a lighthearted jibe at the NSC demographic rather than morbid before anyone takes offence :))

[Politics] Votes for 16 year olds

I can agree with all of this, whilst still (perhaps with a little hypocrisy) thinking that in the cut and thrust of politics, it's perfectly fair to do it. Gerrymandering has been going on for a couple of hundred years now (probably longer before the name was coined), so until they change the...

[Politics] Votes for 16 year olds

OK, so it's not direct evidence of the voting intentions of 16 & 17 year olds, but there's a clear correlation between age and likelihood to vote Tory, or Labour. If you'll forgive the whataboutry, it's the other side to the same coin as the Tories introducing voter ID. Purely designed to...

    [Albion] Squad dilemmas 24/25

True, but Milner would be out before Veltman IMO (not that it means both can't go of course). A lot depends on who we manage to sign too

    [Albion] Squad dilemmas 24/25

Veltman strikes me as just the sort of player we'd look to sign in the Lallana/Welbeck/Milner mould if he were at another club... probably for a low (ish) fee, fairly high wages, but versatile and has a lot of experience to bring to the squad, even though he wouldn't necessarily play 90 minutes...

    [Albion] Squad dilemmas 24/25

If my wife posted on NSC, you might see a bit more love expressed for Moder. I have a lot of time for Moder and still think he will fulfill his potential with us. Just needs to stay fit and get a run of games.

    Small things that irritate you.....

My point is actually that in the scenario you describe, it sounds like you should already have moved over. If there's room for undertaking, is there not room for you to have moved over? Why do you (apparently) wait for someone to come up behind you before thinking about getting out of the right...

Surely, the only reason to be in the outer lane is that there wasn't room to safely move to the left?
