I emailed Paul Barber this morning, and got an immediate response, I asked about the mental strength along the lines of my OP and some of the other responses in this thread. Here is Paul's response:-
Lets be honest, although he was dire last night, Propper and Jahanbakhsh were not much better. They simply cannot handle the pressure of going behind, their distribution was as bad as I've seen in a long long time.
The thing that annoys me about Stephens though, is that he seems to need an age...
That is exactly my point, you just detailed a lot better than I did. Not sure how you fix a lack of mental strength, they need some sort of mental coaching
Agreed, he was truly pathetic tonight but it wasn’t just him, there was hardly a player on the pitch who didn’t give the ball away at some point during the match.
Our strongest player mentally, Kayal, didn’t even get a look in.
It isn’t about being bad players. It’s about our inability to handle the pressure of a crunch match. That the only conclusion I can come to for such poor passing

She might be right, or they might just think he is a northern tosser and wind...
I love Knockaert because of his passion, and his ability to go around players. With that passion and ability comes a dark side where he simple seems incapable of controlling himself at times and contributes to him being out of position. If you take one away, you risk lose the other, almost like...
One thing is for certain, it won't end in an expected way. Maybe all the main characters die to the Night King, then Samwell Tarly finishes him off to get the Iron Throne :)
So do we play for a draw and risk them nicking it or go all guns blazing and leave ourselves open for the counter?
It's a game of risk and reward.
If I was the manager, I'd wind them up before the start and get them to go all guns blazing from the first whistle, but then I am truly awful at...
I don't think it really matters to be honest, several managers stand out, as outlined in the previous posts. I am just happy that my sons are witnessing Premier League football with a comfy padded seat in a top stadium and now with an FA Cup semi-final at Wembley. When I was their age we were...
