Slight knock to Barco & then Hurzeler trusting a player he’d seen more minutes from in pre season for a tough opening fixture. Don’t think there’s anything more to it.
The only thing I wish they’d do is add a box in the north east corner to mimic the south east, so the stadium looks more balanced. & then add some sort of shelf/mini tier/boxes over the north. The stadium would then look complete. As for a total capacity I’d rather keep it similar to what it is...
I do wonder if the growth of the club will ever get to a point where the idea of somehow increasing the Amex capacity (I know it cant really be) goes from being a silly impossible idea to one where Tony thinks we might seriously have to investigate how that might happen.
Was thinking exactly this earlier today. Inevitable there'll be some big sales in the coming transfer windows, its how the machine keeps going, but the signings we've made mean we're very well set up to absorb the hit of losing an important player or two. In the 25/26 season, as if from nowhere...
He mentioned in the interview about playing ''a different position''. I wonder if thats a reference to just being flexible in where he can play or if Hurzeler has specifically said he will play in a different position to when at Leeds.
There was those random articles middle of last season that said Bloom was planning to spend big this summer.. just put it down to twitter nonsense at the time.
He’s decent enough for a 4th choice centre back. Few ups and downs last season, but it was his first season for a new team/league/manager. With current options he’s still needed as a bench rotation player.
Main reason im happy with that win is this... If we'd lost or got a few bad results in our opening games you just know all the pundits and journalists reporting on them will have been itching to say ''well he's obviously too young, and too inexperienced''. The Merson's of this world would have...
