Yes they do. My business indirectly encourages them to through some of our tech. That's 'telematics'. The take up is nowhere near high enough for it to replace tax at the moment but usage based taxation could accompany usage based insurance in the future. It's a fair way off and certainly won't...

Good spot. And anyone mentioning working people alongside bus fare cap is clearly trying to muddy the water.

Fair enough. Missed the radio this morning as dog walking with a mate. Pay per mile sounds like it would either need telematics or the installation of even more traffic cameras?

It's not clear at all. Pay per mile surely refers to bus journeys. How would you honestly measure it in a car? Hand in your mileage??

The bloke I replied to said it, which is why I started with that point. Bolded below.

Yes, they should be local authority funded. Any exception could easily be used as a loophole. Harrow School for Special Educational Needs anyone?

Again, because people don't seem to understand: 1) Bus fares are not a tax. 2) Bus fares never used to be capped 3) The funding for the £2 cap was about to run out. Labour could have abolished any kind of cap making buses exactly like they were for most of mine and your lifetime.

Interesting because here’s you parroting Reform’s argument based on the Great Replacement Theory several years before they existed. And here’s your outraged response to Truss killing the economy on the Tory meltdown thread. :tumble:

Coming from a man who called Bozza c***ish and had a dig at Lord Bracknell’s moderation I’ll take that as a compliment 👍

I've voted Lib Dem, Green and Labour in my life, lived abroad for six years in which I didn't vote at all and once voted in a local election for a comedy cartoon character. I constantly criticised Corbyn's Labour. You should find those posts easy to find, although given you only just found out...

I would agree with that in the main. Yes, working people have to fill up their cars. But some of them smoke or vape, many drink. When I was growing up the standing joke in our household on budget day was "oh good, it's national put up beer, fags and petrol day". Whoever the Chancellor was. Fuel...

Yep, they had the working class Tory Wellend that runs Pimlico Plumbers on Radio 4 this morning proudly stating that he'd already moved to Spain and Dubai. "Good" I thought. "That'll give other small plumbing businesses in London a chance to go for the market share they've left behind". Only...
