Only one place available for a goalkeeper in the team so it's harder for them to break through. Personally, I don't think he's going to improve by being our number 2 next season so I think it's time to cash in and let the next generation of our stable of goalkeepers get out on loan to see...
Perhaps he could act as a sort of mentor to young Crofts? Training with Solly March everyday wouldn't do him any harm, either.
He'll have to accept a new squad number though. 10 needs to go to Mac Allister and his previous number at Barcelona, 19, is well guarded by Jose Izquierdo (remember him?).
Throwing their pint in the bin is a bit extreme, just sort them out when they get there or they accept they've missed a round and need to get the next one in. Probably the next as a punishment for being late too.
highflyer - I totally agree. I think it's going to pick up awards all over the place for everything except the story and the acting. Visually it's incredible and a wonderful achievement of film making, but it's not the best film for decades. That kind of hyperbolic praise always frustrates me...
Excellent write up, AZ Gull. Yours always are and I don't want a lack of replies to be off putting for your motivation.
I'm not able to make the game but I'll look for this thread with interest tomorrow morning to see how the boys got on.
I have pulled the trigger on purchasing these little fellas - my first new running shoes in (I think) 3 years. I've got 4 pairs on rotation, plus a pair exclusively for the gym, and they've all served me well but I have to retire the ones used on sunday and I REALLY need to retire the ones I've...
I'm glad it's not just me who has noticed! :annoyed: I had planned a slower week for next week to recover from the Worthing Half, I'm either going to have to reconsider that or run a hard and fast sunday long run anyway and not interrupt the plan. Decisions, decisions.
I take advantage of a reward scheme where I work to get the annual pass for £144 - essentially £12 a month which is 1 film a month. I saw 106 last year, so it's less than £2 a film. All the value in the world. There are more than enough unexpected gems to justify going to see pretty much every...
Assuming you go to the Brighton Odeon, there's a good chance we've been at multiple screenings at the same time. I try and get the full value from my Limitless Card, 106 films last year and only one which wasn't at Odeon (Brighton, Tunbridge Wells, Bournemouth). The exception was Endgame, which...
That post could basically have been written by me! Those are the next on my list too, The Lighthouse isn't available at Odeon Brighton though so I'd need to branch out or drive to Tunbridge Wells. Parasite should be good, and I am quite excited for Birds of Prey - much as I love a proper film, a...
I stand well corrected, I shan't be reporting my suspicions to IMDb! :lolol:
I'm yet to be really blown away by a film this year so far though - good as though Jewell is, and it's up there 8/10 with The Gentlemen, Just Mercy and Jojo Rabbit - there hasn't been a massive standout for me just yet.
Oh yeah, there's no question at all that he has his issues. There was a lot of comedy hidden in there really, I enjoyed the gun collection and the justification, "this is Georgia". One thing that did bother me, but not massively, weren't Snickers bars still Marathon in 1986 when he first met...
Much my thoughts about it too - I went along and saw it last night, also a near empty screening, but it had everyone gripped. Not a word was spoken once it had properly begun. It's easy to understand why they thought it was Jewell. It's incredibly lucky he happened to know the lawyer because...
My current PB was set into the biblical wind a couple of years ago - I was working really hard to get there and I'll happily do the same again! Rain doesn't worry me, I just don't want to be slapped in the face too much!
I really think the Spahn Ranch scene is a pointless waste of time which builds to absolutely no climax whatsoever. It felt like something was missing or consequentially was missing, maybe there was meant to be a payoff but it was cut. Tarantino has said that there's a 4 hour version of the film...
Very useful to have a nice reminder of the table ahead of sunday's Half Marathon showdown in Worthing.
I think I'm going to be missing out on parkrun this week in order to attend an Indian celebration in London (don't ask), but it's probably for the best anyway to avoid being unable...
