Perhaps not. If you haven’t watched him before, I can recommend Phil Moorehouse’s “A Different Bias” channel on YouTube. Phil is a fairly crotchety, Yorkshire based Labour supporter and former science teacher.
He’s big on statistical analysis and really knows his polling. He reads every...
Had another dose of The Rage when I saw a clip from last night's debate. There was Sunak saying that migrants were sat around just waiting for Labour to get in and how scared they all were of being shipped off to Rwanda.
Utter, utter turnip! Just putting words in the mouths of the voiceless...
That would be just dandy.
I try to be an even handed, peaceable sort of chap but this government has me beaten. They give me The Rage. I’ve spent years planning my election night festivities but now that it’s finally here… I’ll be out of the country.
Postal vote sent. Hoping to see Woking...
First match of the tournament I’ve watched… and almost certainly the last. Simply not feeling it this year. Bigger fish to fry wherever I look and the truth of the matter is that Brighton matters to me much more than the national team.
The Conservatives will never suspend support for the candidate, of course, as they simply cannot afford to give seats away. Makes an interesting counterpoint to the Labour candidate whose support was withdrawn only yesterday.
A reminder that many of us live in a bubble. I’m as a big a tofu eater as you could wish to find and one of the first things I’ve noted whilst up in the Lakes is my first Tory and Reform boards… and no others. The nation at large does not think like our corner of the country.
Working up here...
Of all the many, many, MANY departures we’ve had in recent seasons, his is going to hurt the most when it finally comes. Absolutely love the guy. Pure class. Quietly gets on with the job of being bloody brilliant.
Briefly, because it's a massively complex subject...
That can be addressed but it needs a complete cultural shift in our approach to housing. Everybody having their own two bedroom house with a garden out the back is unsustainable. We need to rethink urban planning. Town centres are dying...
This is more or less where I am. I’d rather he didn’t return but I’m not ideological about the idea. I still trust our owner to act in the best interest of the club and if he considers Potter to be a viable option then so be it. I’ll still be back in August to get behind the team.
My imperative for this election is to remove the Tories from power. Nothing else. I shall deploy my vote tactically, in the hope of unseating my Tory MP.
Beyond that… let the chips fall where they may. I’ll start worrying about Labour more once they’re in power. The lot that have power...
I’d LOVE to join in with an “up all nighter” but after three years of planning my election night piss up, it turns out I’m going to be in Costa Rica on the big day.
Exit poll will drop at 15:00 local time. Should make for an interesting dinner that evening.
My daughter has it sussed though...
I'm sure it's been said already but putting them somewhere close to the North Stand would probably help generate a better atmosphere, as the two sets of singing areas would go up against each other. Can't see the local neighbourhood bobbies being terribly impressed with that, mind.
