23, two of the draws should have been wins, certainly Wolves then a tossup between Arsenal (hour against 10 men) and Ipswich (battered them but couldn’t score)
Probably nails him on for a job at a middle to lower PL team which changes manager in the next couple of months, plus a very nice payoff and an intact reputation
Might be the first to emerge from the United dugout with an enhanced reputation since Fergie
That’s right, Marc Guehi was the real hero of England’s Euros run and got them to the final singlehanded.
We could only dream of something like that happening
That 4-1 game has really f***ed his career hasn’t it? He was flying at Chelsea and looked like the hottest managerial talent going. Came here, got thrashed by us and started the decline in his Chelsea team which led to the sack, and hasn’t worked since.
Oh well.
So were they away fans trying to sneak in who we rinsed because they were dumb enough to get caught? Or was it a family of Brighton fans who for some reason had a City bag and made a mistake?
If the former, yay.
If the latter, boo.
GB News has a headline about Farage attending (not just anyone but Farage), so presumably either he was there or they’re lying (not hedging bets either way there)
I think another part is the refs are paranoid about being “the story”. If you make a decision and (e.g.) Man City lose to Brighton as a direct result then that’s the story for the rest of the week on Sky Sports, endlessly raked over on MOTD and splashed all over the papers.
Do it the other way...
