    [News] Middle East conflict

I think this is precisely what Israel is trying to avoid..

[News] how comfortable are you with UK airforce defending Israel?

Essentially it's all about money. Sink billions into funding candidates and parties which back you and you can control who wins elections. Turn away (or criticise too harshly) from Israel and you're basically guaranteeing an election loss. Therefore you have to be seen to be towing the party line.

    [News] Middle East conflict

Imagine a US invasion on the pretext of WMDs. Would it be over as quickly as the Iraqi invasion, or does Iran have a lot better defences than Sadam had?

[Other Sport] **Philip Schofield - Castaway, Official Thread**

Can't imagine whacking a guy on a desert island for 10 days would have a big overhead. Buy some go-pros and a return flight to the Maldives and you're basically set.

    [News] Middle East conflict

Israel is basically another state of the US. Imagine an Iranian attack on US soil, it would have the same consequence as an attack on Israel.

    [News] Middle East conflict

Well yes, if you conveniently reclassify the majority of the population as soldiers then it's pretty easy to live with yourself. Is this why the genocide sympathisers on this forum keep saying it's the war with the 'lowest ratio of civilian to soldier deaths'. Great mental gymnastics there to...

Five threads on Israel? I appreciate it's a big story but this is a football forum, can't they at least be merged? It's the same characters having the same debate across every thread.

[Albion] What's happened to Adam Webster.

From Brighton fans? Ridiculous. To say someone had a bad game is one thing, to seek out a player from your own team to abuse him after a poor game is just f***ing wrong. This is not how you support your team. Some people need to give their head a wobble.

[Albion] how good are we, actually?

Let's be honest, RDZ was a bit of a twat at times, but he was a f***ing great tactician. It was always going to be hard to replace him.

[Brighton] First time visitor: advice welcome

Of course they do, ban regular backpacks then sell one in the shop that fits their arbitrary rules. Classic

[Brighton] First time visitor: advice welcome

How big is small? I can't think of many back packs that fit the "A4" size guidelines.

[Brighton] First time visitor: advice welcome

You can't take a backpack into the ground, only small purses. Keep this in mind. Also, don't get your hopes up about the atmosphere, it's pretty shocking. Have fun.

Around which date would this be played?

[Albion] Jan Paul van Hecke - contracted to June 2027

Their first goal was JPVH having a miscommunication with Estupiñan, and he was almost at fault for another goal when we tracked the wrong player during a Forest break. He's a very good defender for his age (better than Dunk, which is saying something), but I think he's a few years from the top...

    [Albion] Hürzeler’s (Brighton) Tactics

I don't think there is a distinct 'style'. More: lots of little styles across different phases of play. Similar to a Rafa Benítez approach at Liverpool. We've just been spoilt by having RDZ (and to an extent, Potter) who had very distinctive styles, but often struggled to deviate from the set...

[Albion] Georginio Rutter - singed 19/8/24

I think there's promise there. I'd hope £40m buys more than promise, but I'll take it over being a dud. I would be interested to see how he played alongside Pedro. They're both very similar, but it could be awesome.

    [Albion] Sarmiento

Terrible goalkeeping for the second. I'd love Sarmiento to do well, he seems like a great lad. I feel he may have a touch of the Knockearts about him, insofar as being able to dominate the Championship but unable to make the step up to the Premier League. Hopefully I'm proven wrong though.
