[Football] To all the Southgate haters / wrong again and again and again **SOUTHGATE NOW RESIGNED**

He’s a dithering idiot who insisted on defensive football with a back four and two defensive midfielders for almost his entire tenure despite the riches on offer in his squad. He kept natural progressive midfielders out of the side preferring workhorses like Gallagher and continually picked...

[NSC] Wristwatches,do you wear one ?

Definitely worth getting it checked it could be the glass or the crown not sealing properly. Not sure where to recommend in Brighton as the places I’ve used in the past are gone. It’s one of the reasons I’ve given up ownership of most of my mechanical watches, the cost of repairs and the lack of...

[NSC] Wristwatches,do you wear one ?

Does it clear quickly when you are out of the water? It could just be a sudden drop in temperature that causes the fogginess. If it’s persistent then I would bin the watch as water damage would cost more to repair than the watch is worth.

[Misc] Advice on elderly parent / (possible) dementia / hospital discharge type stuff

Sorry to hear about your Mum, it’s a distressing situation to be in. I’ve been through it with my Dad. It sounds like they have made some kind of assessment but has a social worker made that assessment? When I was dealing with my Dad many years ago I had to fight to get an assessment which...

West Ham. My wife and son went to Wolves, I was definitely not up for it. I was also told not to drive for 2 weeks following the operation.

    [Help] Hernia surgery

My plan was to go to our home game against Luton two days after my operation. The pre assessment nurse, being very professional, and herself being a BHA fan, told me that might not happen! Can’t say about the beers as I don’t drink, but the traveling I’d have struggled with. If I was 30 I think...

    [Help] Hernia surgery

Had one a two months ago it was open surgery and painless, did not need to use the pain medication given to me and I was in and out the same day. It did take longer to physically recover than I thought. I’ve had a few operations and always recovered quickly thinking I would be reasonably active...

    [Misc] Mundane celebrity encounters

Showed King Charles III, then Prince Charles, around my place of work. Very chatty and extremely well dressed. Met Colin Cowdrey while working in a bank in Arundel in the early 80’s, very quiet and unassuming man, not what I expected. My better half has met Huw Edwards and Jimmy Savile, on the...

    [Albion] The injustice against Liverpool

The level of communication is truly pathetic. VAR just needs to say Diaz was onside or offside to the referee after the check.
