Thanks for the advice! As a result I've treated myself to a pair of Asics MetaSpeed Sky+ as they were reduced by 30%. I've been testing them in the office and they do feel amazingly light. Will give them a run out at the Chichester 10K this Sunday.

It’s amazingly quiet at the station.

Anyone else run the Brighton 10K today? At the ripe old age of 50, I bettered a long standing PB and finally managed to go under 45 minutes. Very chuffed with that!! Amazing what 4 months of no booze can do! Next stop… a sub 1:45 Brighton Half!!!

We were in the Victoria pub earlier which was just up from those police vans at the port. All pretty relaxed.

Next challenge accomplished…

we got the shuttle bus from Marseille airport to Gare St Charles. I think the bus number is L91 and departed from bus stop 6. It’s all really easy. Took about half an hour and was 10 euros. Gare St Charles is about a 20 minute walk from the port.

Is it an easy walk from Marseille Airport to Vitrolles train station? And can you just scan your trainline app ticket to get through the barrier (or do you have to collect paper tickets)?
