America'a Cup - anyone else getting excited?

You must have been there the same time as me. I had a 3 day trip to Barcelona and had no idea The Americas Cup was on! I went down to the water and saw the whole village they have set up. I caught a glimpse of the Ineos boat too, it's an impressive thing.

I think Jon Richardson has just started a show in the same slot. I don't think he'd be much cheaper.

    [Misc] Brunch

I do love a good brunch. It's become a big part of watching the Brighton matches in the pub. A Saturday 3pm kickoff is 10am here, so we often have brunch around half time. Then a couple of beers to wash it down with. There does seem to be a trend here of people going for brunch at 2 or 3pm...

[Misc] Toronto - where to stay

There are plenty of hotels in the dowtown core, all close to Line 1 on the subway. It really depends on your budget. The Westin Harbour is right by the waterfront next to the ferry terminal (good for a day trip to the Islands) and a short walk to Union station which gives you access to the...

    [Albion] New anti-VAR song released

I was at the match on Sunday and I don't recall not spontaneously celebrating all three of our goals. In fact, with VAR, you often get to celebrate the goal twice - once when it goes in and once when the check is over.

[Misc] Does WFH (working from home) reduce productivity?

I have been working from home full-time since the start of the pandemic. I'm not sure I agree my productivity is that much less in terms of my overall output. The difference for me is when I do the work. When I was going to the office every day I worked roughly 9-5 (or a bit either side) then...

[Misc] Post a photo of the most beautiful car you’ve ever seen.

The Ford GT is a nice looking car, I'll give you that. I find the Camero ugly though. Muscle cars don't do anything for me. Just big shouty things with no subtelty in their design. Although it does look better than its modern equivalent.

[Misc] Post a photo of the most beautiful car you’ve ever seen.

Why take corners at speed when you can just put in traffic lights or stop signs to make things less efficient? Then you can concentrate on the important art of making cars bigger, uglier, less economical and more dangerous to pedestrians.
