Almost too easy. We need to inject some urgency.

    [Albion] As you get older

On the wrong side of sixty now, but I retain foolish optimism that we will one of the major tournaments one day. I just hope I don't run out of days.

[Football] World Cup - Day Twenty One... Time for the boys to do us proud.

Love MacAllister but can't stand the rest of the Argies. Morocco all the way!

[Football] World Cup - Day Twenty One... Time for the boys to do us proud.

We played well and it was possibly the game of the tournament. I can't blame Southgate for losing. It could have gone either way as it was end to end throughout. Doesn't stop me feeling gutted though. I'm old enough to remember '66 and I'm beginning to think we'll never win another...

We're doing okay. No subs yet for me. Just need to take more risks going forward.

Here we go. The agony and ecstasy starts here.

The irony of Fernandes complaining about cheating

Portugal at their cheating, whining, diving, sneaky best. Prepare for serial falling over in the penalty area accompanied by Fernandes screaming and crying like a baby. Great footballer, but the biggest cheat in the Premier League.

[Football] World Cup - Day Fifteen... D-Day for England

That's the impression I had from far away. I wasn't thinking about time of year in England - obviously it is the start of summer here. I will be watching the France game at Auckland viaduct in a pub at 8am, with about 500 noisy expats drinking jugs of beer. I went there for the Euros and it...

[Football] World Cup - Day Fifteen... D-Day for England

Not sure what it's like at home, but from New Zealand it seems like we're moving through the tournament in a more businesslike way without all the hype and fanfares. The booze issue also means our supporters haven't wrecked a city yet. Or it could be that I'm looking at England from 13,000...

    [Football] England V Wales

The higher ranked teams, including England, frequently struggle to open up teams hell bent on narrow defending. At least we've managed to score against some defensive - albeit poor - opposition. The test comes against teams who want to attack us. Like the Albion, I think we may play much...

[Albion] After a night to sleep on it

I think we played some reasonable football at times, undone by poor defending - especially at set pieces. The movement, slick passing and general interplay is way better than previous years. My concern is that some of the steel is missing from the team. Potter inherited one positive from CH...

[Albion] Everton vs Brighton & Hove Albion *** Official Match Thread ***

Same bets every week. $25 Albion to win, $5 on Albion 2-1 and $5 Dunky to score. Only one Carlsberg moment in 2 years - v Arsenal in June when all my ducks lined up...

Did you ever watch the Albion play at the Goldstone

Virtually every game from 66/67 until 78 and then about 5-10 games a season after joining the army. Best game Walsall 7-0 (obviously). Worst game - tight choice between Walton and Hersham, Leatherhead and a 0-0 draw v Bury when neither side had a shot on target.

Did you ever watch the Albion play at the Goldstone

First game 0-0 draw v Doncaster 66-67. Second game 0-0 v Workington same season. Thankfully it got better.
