[Albion] When are the fixtures out?

Just over a week to go, who are we getting first? Home or away? I assume it could be home as after Pride?

[Albion] Playing staff winners & losers under Fab

I think it could be very good for Baleba.

    [Brighton] Dockerills RIP

That’s very sad to hear. I used to work just round the corner from there so often went in there to get stuff 20-25 years ago. Sad when these long standing independents go.

That might have been a waste of time then!

    [Politics] The French election

Europe and the West (including US) have to answer the problem of immigration. It’s that simple. If they don’t the so called far right will win because the people have had enough of it. Far better to deal with it sensibly than allow extreme groups to come into power. Massive uncontrolled...

[Albion] Who was the first Albion manager to be younger than you?

Oscar Garcia. Although didn’t know that until now when I checked. Never thought for a moment he was younger than me when he was with us.

    [Politics] General Election 2024 - 4th July

I would have said about 100 prior to Sir a Nigel coming back and then DDay gate. Tories are leaving for Reform in droves (me included) which might leave the Tories with as little as 50 seats or less?

[News] Dr Michael Mosley - RIP 09/06/2024

Seems odd to me that he hasn’t been found yet. It’s a really small island.

[Albion] Pascal Groß the raumdeuter - officially leaves for Dortmund :(

It’s tough isn’t it. My dad passed away a few years ago and I still find myself thinking of what we would talk about Albion wise. He missed the European tour which I suspect he would have been amazed by.

[Politics] Starmer v Sunak *** Official Match Thread ***

But if Labour don’t give the answer as to where the money is coming from it leaves a gap to be filled by this doesn’t it. And if they don’t fill it, why?

[Politics] Starmer v Sunak *** Official Match Thread ***

Just watched this. I’m going to try and be neutral which is easy as I’m not voting for either of them. If you ignore where they are in the polls then it was a Sunak trouncing. He had all the big hits. Starmer added very little and you came away not having much of a clue what he stood for...

[Politics] Votes for 16 year olds

He will be very much in the minority of 16/17 year olds I suspect.

[Albion] If Graham Potter is re-appointed...

There is a lot of rewriting of history on this thread. Potter was for the most part a success. We all felt worried when he left. That doesn’t suggest to me he was already hated. Quite the opposite. I loathed the way he left and took everyone with him, especially Bruno and Roberts, and that is...

    [Albion] Steve Cooper.

Fair assessment. Strikes me we are holding out for someone that for reasons unknown to us mean he can’t sign immediately. If it was Cooper or Potter they’d be signed up by now.

[Politics] Votes for 16 year olds

How many 16 year olds “work and pay tax”? I don’t know any. I’d be very happy for those that do to have a vote though.

[Albion] Who do you want to become our new manager?

Frank Lampard bought a house in Ferring ages ago didn’t he. My window cleaners son saw him moving furniture in the other day. He’d hired a white van apparently. Has Christine kicked him out?

[Politics] Votes for 16 year olds

Agreed. I’m not even sure 18 is old enough to be honest. 21+ seems about right. I also think there is some justification for saying cap it off as well.
