Certainly not the first time this season that the Loxwood social media team have been openly critical of refs during games. I'll be honest, I find them to be quite a difficult club to like
I was impressed with Varndeanians on Saturday as well, big improvement from last season
Oh interesting
I might be going to JB this Saturday as my nephew is playing for Upper Beeding against them, however he does have a slight knock so might be out. If hes not playing I'll do this
Even if I don't I think I could JUST ABOUT double up with another
Why are Crowborough kicking off...
Ground number 47 was the Haven Centre, home of Crawley Down Gatwick for their SCFL Premier Division clash with Varndeanians
Yet another place I've never been to before which is unsurprising as there's not really much there. Not that it's an unpleasant place, just seems like a nice leafy...
Yep was definitely hard to find- in terms of parking you're right, the car park is small especially for a ground that has nothing around it in terms of street parking. A fair few of us were parked on the grass verges on the side of that main road but not sure how official that is- also wouldn't...
Ground number 46 was "The Oaks" home of AFC Uckfield Town for their SCFL Division 1 clash with East Preston.
A long old drive for me. I'd never been to Uckfield before and to be honest, I still haven't- this ground is in the middle of nowhere and quite far from the hustle and bustle of downtown...
Ground number 45 was Rustington for their SCFL 2 clash with Upper Beeding
A fairly standard division 2 ground, which actually seems to be more like a social club that happened to have a football game going on next to it. The clubhouse is pretty good and one of the best in that league actually...
I was tempted by this but more in terms of it's historical context (the birth of the biggest and most influential band of all time). And whilst it's a pretty good album and has some very good songs on it, I wouldn't rank it that highly by their standards, maybe like their 7th or 8th best album?
Don't think it's been ruled out at all. Ultimately the women's stadium won't host a colossal amount of games a season so it would be good for it to have another use.
An advantage is that a fair amount of it is already there- pitch, 1 stand, floodlights, changing rooms etc. obviously a downside...
In the Withdean years DVD they definitely made a point of saying that they used to give Cork quite a hard time. With him being ex-Crazy Gang I imagine he was quite used to it
I thought it might have been Alan Cork. I know that they used to give him a bit of a battering.
Seems to be implying that this was fairly early on in his time here which is when Cork would have been assistant before he left for Cardiff
It's quite run down now. Just the north stand remains and it's covered in pigeon shit (with actual mounds of it in places). Definitely worth the nostalgia trip but it's a very basic and poorly kept facility
think Woking was in our last season at Withdean. Just remember Gus quite desperately trying to get us knocked out of the cup so we could concentrate on the league and we ended up needing replays against FC United and Woking :ROFLMAO:
also notable for Cristian Baz scoring the most nonchalant...
yep, unfortunately (or fortunately for them) the big two have such a stranglehold over the league, would be very hard for another club to really break that. Apart from when Rangers were demoted, the only time I can remember was a one off season when Hearts finished 2nd- they had quite a mad...
his peak was probably the 04-05 season where he played 38 games in the championship for us and also got called up to the England U-21 squad. I just remember him looking very comfortable at that level, but ruptured his ACL later that year I believe (possibly in the 05-06 season?). After that he...
I appreciate most of you won't care but as a Scotland fan, anything that can help disrupt the duopoly of the Old Firm can only be a good thing for football north of the border
Adam was definitely a very good player pre-injuries and agreed with the above he was on course to become a very solid championship level defender. Not necessarily the most naturally gifted but read the game well and was very consistent
