I think the real test will be when Dunk is back and fit. That's going to tell us a lot about him as a manager.
There's a lot to like tactically but I can't help but think we've also been a bit fortunate.
Bournemouth, Southampton, Fulham next which will be very different games. Still too...
There's a certain inevitability in the continued march of technology that the existing economic and political landscape can't remain the same. I'm really hopeful that we'll see Universal Basic Income and an Automated Payment transaction tax running via a digital currency in my lifetime due to...
There's so many but I'll give you two.
The Manic Street Preachers opened my eyes to a lot of stuff, consumerism, philosophy, politics, equality, really just loads of stuff as a 15 year old.
Luke Haines similarly on Art and culture.
Apologies if this has been covered already but from what I can see, the coaching plan seems to align with everything the club say about finding an edge. There is limited pragmatism and we balance risk and reward and gamble a little. I think about the RDZ games against Everton; the 4-1 away...
Well today was interesting.
We do seem extraordinarily good at creating decent chances in Zone 17 (and keeping the opposition away from it) I wonder how we compare with others across Europe.
Need to watch it back to figure out what tweaks were made at half time as wasn't immediately obvious...
I've had a bit more time to look at the highlights and think about the high line some more. I absolutely get it tactically, and although pacey centre backs would be some help, it's more about anticipating the threat.
We haven't conceded because of it per se, but my major problem with it is a...
Couldn't help but picture Brian Clough when I read this and as he proved, getting players to do the job he needed worked well (at least for a time at Forest) I don't necessarily think there is an absence of instructions, it's more that in terms of positioning the instruction is not as fixed...
It's fascinating watching FH talk tactically in interviews. From what he says there are clearly some coached structural patterns to follow but key to the philosophy and approach is an element of relational fluidity. This ultimately means a lot of scope for the individual to determine position...
He has that skill of appearing almost effortless. Not as dynamic or as much of a dribbler as Foden and almost looks like he doesn't belong in English football. Definitely feels more European in use of space, timing, technique etc. Do you think someone's having us on and it's some elaborate...
Decent performance all round. Peupion, Mullins, Penman, Simmons, Howell all look to have good careers ahead of them. You can see why Howell and Simmons are England internationals and why Peupion is still around - even before the goals he was very good.
Given this has been rumbling on for a while, I'll admit to not being totally convinced by what I've seen on the pitch and in highlight reels. I've just watched his interview though and it's difficult not to be impressed with his attitude and the way he talks. (y)
