    [Albion] Yasin Ayari

You mean those in power at the club know better than us on here ? Rubbish!

    [Misc] Melbourne Cup

Arrived in Sydney this afternoon. The absolute CARNAGE around Darling Harbour puts Ascot and Aintree to shame. Absolutely HORDES of pissed-up people (far more women than men incidentally, mostly wearing fascinators and short skirts) wobbling about all over the place, all the bars and restaurants...

[Albion] Away fans in home ends

This. We get enough shit as it is with ID checks, emails etc etc - anyone taking the piss needs outing and a ban.

[Albion] Liverpool's Mitoma regret, also: Gross, Mwepu, Cucurella and Estupinan

They don't have the means to identify them to the extent we do (Starlizard) They won't put the effort in to make deals work (SA players in particular) They can't offer players the same pathway...... jumping from foreign loan to Liverpool first team would be seen as too big a stretch and they...

    [TV] Blackadder Goes Forth

Not quite on topic but have just finished reading Adrian Edmondson's book 'Berserker'. It's an excellent read - tough in parts but a very honest and open account. Will appeal to many on this thread

    [Albion] Your football ancestry

Followed Liverpool as a kid, never went to a game though (lived in Devon, moved here in 1991). Started actively going to games when junior got interested around 20 years ago, firstly at Burgess Hill and then occasional Albion games which became more regular as we got sucked in……….ST since 2013...

[Albion] If you could improve ONE thing about BHAFC, what would it be?

This thread is crap. Wish someone would locket.

[Albion] Away fans in home ends

We’ve got loads of ‘fans’ with A+ memberships (and purchase history) that support ‘big’ clubs……..no idea how they can be stopped buying tickets. Very annoying.

[Albion] Away fans in home ends

Fair point but the club are clamping down on that…hence the slightly threatening emails if you deliberately leave a seat empty

[Albion] Away fans in home ends

There are always dozens of tickets available via online secondary market sellers so you’re not stopping it by not putting your ticket on the exchange……..no idea how these tickets are being passed on though. Quick example...

    [Misc] Retirement

Agree 100%. A voluntary role as a trustee/governor at a residential school for severely disabled kids gives me enough mental stimulation and feeling of giving something back, I paid enough tax and NI for enough years to not worry about contributing much now. Couldn’t contemplate reporting to...

[Albion] Away fans in home ends

Does 75% of home and away games but doesn’t have enough points ? How ? I don’t do that many, am a JCL and still comfortably in T1 for Bournemouth away.

[Albion] Away fans in home ends

Disagree. Hate seats going empty and always share/exchange mine if I can’t go.

[Food] Eating out. Is it all that?

Have to say the service and food quality relative to the price of eating out in Oz vs the UK is much, much better.

    [Misc] Retirement

That’s the problem with generalising this type of thing - the final result will apply to virtually no-one. We spend way less than £43k on day to day living, but our trip to Canada last year cost about £30k. I change my car about every 5-6 years on average. BUPA quoted me £600/mth to continue my...
