I agree. I fear that he (and Veltman) are possibly ‘on the turn’ as age and the sheer volume/intensity of games catches up with them. I really hope Lewis reaches 500 appearances next season - he’s currently on 454- and becomes our 2nd top appearance maker of all time as that would be amazing...

It is but I don’t think he’ll get there. He’ll almost certainly overtake Sir Norman (488) and Sully (491) next season but he’d need to be around injury and suspension free for the next 2-3 years to catch Tug and I just can’t see that happening.
