Anyone else find this a strange take? I thought Fulham played well, tough to beat, like they've been all season. I can see why we were linked with Bassey, excellent player, and Iwobi has become high class. And Jimenez was aways the prototype of the striker I most wished we'd signed back in the day and good to see him back at the top level since his injury.

Anyway a hard fought game between two good teams playing well and hard to beat, and thus nullifying each other for the most part. I thought once again Fab got his tactics spot on, preventing Fulham playing out from the back with any control, only perhaps the first 20 minutes of the second half did they start to get hold of the ball on the halfway line, and then our subs shifted the match back in our favour. The process was clear once again, high intensity, work hard, strength and skill up top, big injection of energy after the hour to see a game through. Four of our six wins in a row we've found ourselves 1-1 in the second half and gone on to win late on.
I was thinking on 90 minutes that, even though we’re going to draw, hopefully, I’ve enjoyed this game, and agreed this with my brother.
and then………!

I believe that there were even more Albion errors in conceding this goal against Fulham.

1. Van Hecke’s original misplaced ball over the top was very poor. Very easy for their fullback to find a teammate with a header.

2. Estupiñán was out of position when Iwobi received the ball. He did not have the pace to recover sadly.

3. Hinshelwood was not close enough to Van Hecke to cover an unmarked Jimenez. He then pulled his shirt which is very dangerous in the box.

Four players at fault and Bart wasn’t at his excellent best either.
It was a poor goal to give away, but we struggle against genuine pace.
Compare Lamptey getting skinned v Newcastle last week.
The one point I would disagree about is JP original pass being a mistake.
That's a ball we have played multiple times over the past month and has generally been very successful.
He or Webby have floated it down the line for Mitoma or Minteh or Lamptey or Pervis to run on to, and even if they don't get it they are there to pick up the second ball, or at worst their player is forced to kick it out or give back possession to us.
We should still have had enough cover to prevent the goal from the edge of their penalty box.

Very impressive how we’ve come out on top in three matches in particular (Bournemouth, Newcastle and Fulham) where there is hardly any difference between the teams. Each of those matches could easily have gone the other way, but we won with a clear plan and excellent use of substitutes.
I’ll repeat myself. I think we have possibly the best bench, when at nearly full strength, of any team in the PL. The bench is winning us these tight games.

Ayari didn't bother running. He jogged. Pervis was out of position because he was overlapping. Ayari is meant to cover if we lose the ball - he couldn't be arsed. Iwobi sprinted past him WITH the ball. Ayari looking around for someone to stop him meaning Webster had to come across. Gomez or Weiffer stop Iwobi running into our half. Ayari is too feeble.

As Keane said on that podcast recently - he noticed when players pretend to close players down. This is what Ayari was doing.

Every effin team does the time wasting and niggly shite, we're just the same as everyone else, if not worse (better), so just can't see this as a reason to differentiate between teams.

All teams can do a bit of time wasting when needing to hold on to a result, but some teams take it to the extreme. The worst 3 I can remember are Villa, Fulham and (Dyche's) Everton. But Fulham didn't do it yesterday.

So many missed the goal as they left early. Game on a knife edge as well and we get a last minute goal. Must be galling in the queues to hear a big cheer and wonder what's happening
Would be some Venn diagram to see numbers who missed the MacAlister penalty and Pedros yesterday.

I know people have their reasons but I don’t think you can beat a last minute winner

Unusually for that time on the clock, I thought huge numbers were still in the stands.

Due to the lovely weather, great KO time and because we were in the ascendancy?
Without doubt plenty more than usual were still there.

My route back to the coach park from the north shelf normally involves a drop down to the NW corner lower then internally via the west lower concourse to grab a beer to nurse for the 30 min coach departure time.

Unusually today post full time there wasn’t an obvious near empty row to walk along as plenty stayed to celebrate and cheer the team off

Great to see

Oh give it a rest! 'Jogging' my a***! You've been on and on about him since we kicked off. Has he shagged your missus or something?

I sit next to an fella. He doesn't say much but he joined on with the response to 'Come On Fulham'.

According to MOTD, we were playing at Craven Cottage. That's a top away win.
Sad to see so many away fans in the home end in that case

Do have to say though, that Bassey for them is a hell of a player

It's so bizarre. It was a Saturday 3pm kick off against European spot competition. Also relatively warm and pleasant weather.
What the f*** are they all rushing home for when the games cleary in the balance and we look good for a winner?
Is the 1% club really that gripping? Genuinely why even bother going at all if the actual result means so little.
