EDIT: That's not strictly true. The hoover itself is fine on wood flooring. But it doesn't work on my carpets upstairs and when I complained about it they suggested I spend £90 on one of their Turbo Vacuum Heads. Gits.

MI6 should be worried about this. Members of Trump's Cabinet and US senators are openly tweeting they think USA should leave NATO, while Trump's team are knowingly complicit in cosying up to Russia for reasons best known to themselves.On Newsnight last night, Nick Watt quoted a former member of the National Security Council saying they think MI6 are genuinely now worrying about a future where information gathered in Russia could be passed back to Moscow if shared with Washington.
It is untenable for Europe to simultaneously help to defend Ukraine without any military or intelligence aid from USA yet remain within the NATO when Trump is clearly in cahoots with Putin. It is unthinkable that NATO can operate in the same way now we have this New World Order.
Yet NATO is America's baby. The procedure for a member state leaving is as follows (source Wikipedia) :
Article 13 of the North Atlantic Treaty, is the article that member states use for informing other members or parties that it wishes to leave the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. It states the following:
This means that after 20 years since the signing of the treaty which was in 1949, thus 1969, any member state that wishes to leave just has to inform the United States that it wants to leave, and then after a year it formally leaves.
So you have to go through the USA if you want to leave, and it takes a year.
I maybe wrong about this, but it appears there is no rule if USA wants to leave. Presumably, they would inform the others of their intention to leave and another nation would take over as the depository state.
In the circumstances in which we find ourselves, it looks like for the USA to leave then NATO would have to be dissolved and a new organisation take its place.
Please provide the evidence that USA have contributed $300bn.
Not a link to Trump saying this (although actually he says $350bn), but the actual evidence behind his statement.

The move, expected as soon as April, would be a stunning reversal of the welcome Ukrainians received under President Joe Biden's administration.
I guess this was happening anyway, as part of the wider deportation programme - rather than yet another vindictive move by the orange tosser.
