What's your Chinese go to takeaway order? I try to try different things but always return to same old.

1. Chicken and sweetcorn soup
2. Beef in black bean and green pepper sauce
3. Sweet and sour chicken
4. Steamed/boiled rice

That's usually good enough for a dinner and a leftover lunch the following day.

What's yours?
Cut the soup; just one main course (the beef one - or maybe chicken with the black bean stuff), and egg fried rice.

Crispy chili beef, egg fried rice and a portion of vegetable crispy rolls. Perfect for my taste.
Different rules for Chinese buffet though.

At those I ignore absolutely everything except crispy duck, pancakes, seaweed, spring onions, and pile my plate high.

I’ve actually been “cut off” before. :( felt like Homer in that “all you can eat” episode :(

Follow up question: Do you use chopsticks or eat with fork/knife/spoon? For me, always chopsticks (except the soup obviously).

For two of us with a slight rota

Satay chicken
Salt and pepper Chicken
Beef Chow Mein or Roast Pork Fried Rice w/ extra egg
Crispy Shredded Beef / Lemon Chicken
Half portion of sweet and sour pork / chicken balls
Complementary prawn crackers

Different rules for a buffet though where starters and duck are king in my opinion

Same as the OP, occasionally try other things but usually gravitate to the same stuff. Often 4 of us, typically would be

Crispy chilli beef
Singapore noodles
Chicken chow mein
Lemon chicken
Sweet and sour chicken balls
Egg fried rice
King prawns with salt and chilli
Ribs

Damn. Hungry now. :tantrum:
All this apart from lemon chicken. Add seaweed instead

Knife, fork and spoon. You would not want to try and eat special fried rice or mapo tofu with chopsticks, and even the Chinese don't.

My chopstick skills come out if we get sushi or go to Bincho.

For f***'s sake now I want Chinese. You lot are bastards sometimes :lolol:

My other half isn't a fan, so I don't have it often and usually takeaway, not sit in. But my go tos are:
Mixed starters
Kung po king prawn or szechuan
Special fried rice

If I'm splashing out, add salt & chilli chicken or ribs, crispy duck, or get a set meal for 2, and that's 2-3 days food sorted. I'd rather the variety than one big dish with one big rice.

Or if I'm feeling drunk and dirty, a piping hot salt & pepper / neighbour munch box is a great end to a long away day:
