Over for the FUL match. I've tried train and driving/parking in the past. I think I'd like another method. Traveling from Rottingdean (have a car if necessary), what is the consensus least awful way to travel to/from The Amex?

It's a valid question. Being stuck in the car park in the rain for over an hour after a game is not great. I would also like to hear what people feel is best - coming from Littlehampton direction in my case.

1) Take the car to the Race Hill and get the park and ride

2) Take the car to Woodingdean and catch the Park and Ride (if it stops there). Others will be able to confirm if it does.

3) Park the car on Bexhill Road at the top of Woodingdean and walk down to the AMEX (2 miles, 40 minutes) The weather looks fine for Saturday

P&R doesn't stop in Woodingdean. Downs Hotel pub used to run a minibus on match days but that was pre-covid so no idea if they still do (or least someone told me they had got the Downs Hotel minibus back then)

Taxi. Get dropped off/picked up behind the away end. Dunno what a taxi will set you back from Rottingdean and back but it probably won't be much more than the £15 they charge for the car park.

This is the correct answer
It is, but accept that it is a long (return) walk, for many. However @Marlton and Hove Albion you can park in the industrial estate at Woodingdean, and walk from there. From there it is 25 minutes at most down to the Amex, and about 35 back up the hill after the game.

The second half, from Woodingdean to the Amex, is indeed a very pleasant way to get to the stadium on a nice day. There is a footpath that runs all the way alongside the road, with the Downs on either side. Even if you are in central Brighton rather than Rottingdean, and want to avoid the station/bus mayhem, you can get a bus out to Woodingdean and walk it.

That’s what I do…..it’s 30 down and 35 back up for me (it’s 2 miles)

Lovely day for a walk. You could get the bus to the Downs Hotel and walk to the stadium from there to make it less walky.
Just saw this - I've just said the same thing!

Not really……we don’t rush off (there’s no need if walking) but it’s fine. It’s unlit so worth having a small torch for evening games if it’s cloudy

I'd assumed quite a few from the east of Brighton would travel to Woodingdean and walk over. Obviously not.
