Is there anybody who is genuinely still Fab OUT at the moment?

And if you were OUT and are now IN will you be OUT again as soon as we lose two in a row?

I was on fence after the Palace and Forest results but firmly in now as I have seen much better all round team performances. We are now playing with structure and organisation whereas, before we looked at times, all over the place. This may well be that we're still learning with new players getting the experience and knowhow with each game and also Fab is learning fast with each game. We all want the best for our beloved Brighton and every loss hurts especially when we are so close to being near that top end of a Premier league and a few of the usual big guns are struggling. What Fab and the players have shown since Forest is quite something and long may it continue. Europe is very much on and of course a reasonable chance of another fa cup semi final chance. Fab has proved he is upto the task in my view.

I'll admit that I thought he was out of his depth and to be fair certain decisions and results suggested that to be the case. Now he's got his backroom team settled in it is certainly looking a lot better. And it feels like he is close to knowing what the spine of his team is.

Will I be Fab Out if it unravels? Well, that depends on what decisions I think he's making. But let's be honest, there was a point where I think we can be justified in saying that we were worried.

Right now, he and the team are doing very well. UTA.

This mirrors how I feel.

The agenda that everything was hunky dory up to Forest is plain wrong. Johnny and Warren were discussing whether he had what it takes after the game.

The Forest result was brilliant for our season.

Albion now have only 2 defeats in 15. The pick up in form - after the good early start - was perhaps when injuries started to fade, Minteh, Georginio started to settle - and perhaps there was a reaction to throwing the game away v Leicester and a poor home performance v Palace in a week. That mid season blip as Welbeck put it. Things settled down well after that.
The PL is tough, though and several of those results could easily have gone the other way - so we've had a bit of luck too.
But resilience is key. We've come from behind to win v Chelsea/Newcastle in the cup, and to draw v Villa, Arsenal when it looked out of our reach.
Forest was another jolt but there were signs well before that.

2024: Leicester, Palace DDD
2025: DWWWLLWWWWW

Let's be honest, we've lost just 7 games in all competitions this season! Yes, we've drawn a lot especially those two 2 goal lead games which hurt us. But, only 7 losses out of what 31 games ain't too shabby at all. Losses against Liverpool twice (1 in league Cup) Chelsea Everton Forest Palace and Fulham. Only Liverpool and Arsenal have lost fewer.

Although I'm replying to you (because you've demonstrated that you're an astute enough poster for years), I'm making a far more general point in this response.
What I can't get my head around is the certainty of the views held by (so many) posters. You're by no means the only poster responding to the question of @Commander and the general viewpoint is, well the facts have changed, so my (watertight) opinion has changed -- I can see a shape/structure now which was absent beforehand.

What happens if you adopt a completely different perspective, and insist that my football knowledge is limited, and that my previous dissatisfaction was due to factors that I simply wasn't aware of?
What goes with this is that Bloom, Weir, etc knew what they were doing when they appointed FH. I think Bloom and the management team he's introduced has a good track record of over-delivering and, to coin a phrase, maybe we'd be wise 'to trust the process'.

Pretty much what I was about to post. It was the 'there's no way back'/'out of his depth'/'get out of my club' kind of nature of some posts that stood out to me.

To quote the OP (from December 15th): 'When will people see sense ……. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Amazed anyone can think anything other than sacking him. Tactically naïve, poor team selection, can't motivate the team for 90 mins, has clear favourites despite poor performances, no style or identifiable system. He's just out of his depth and we need to cut our losses while we are still within reach.
ok mate

Blowhards to the left, right and centre on this thread. Including the 'of course this was always going to be a transition season' brigade. Football, eh? The only certainty is that nobody knows anything, and the things you think you know will come back to bite you on the bum :lolol:

Whisper it but an improvement on RDZ’s first season is a possibility…..
To equal or beat RDZ season >>
- We'd need to beat Forest/Ipswich at home but also beat (Palace / Bournemouth / City ? ) to reach Cup Final ?
- We need 20 points to equal 63 points from the remaining 11 games but presumably more to reach CL / 5th ?

NEXT 5 : >>>

Fulham (H)
City (A)
Ipswich/Forest (H)
Villa (H)
Palace (A)

Of COURSE it's a transition season. I mean, you don't think we're going to win the Premier League THIS season do you?
